New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

The doom buggies haven’t been reprogrammed nor has the deck, those were the first signs at DL.

Kinda. The end result for the experience is the same, but the process is very different. Reprogramming such as would be done at Mermaid could be done overnight. Any modification at the Haunted Mansion will require some attraction downtime.

If we didn't get it for the 50th we probably won't ever (at least not for the foreseeable future.

Has there ever been any serious maintenance done on the HM track? We always hear about the old track on Space Mountain, and how it should be replaced before it falls apart, but the HM track is even older (unless it was replaced at some point).

I really hope not. Sorry if this was already covered, but do we know if the figure was already made? If so, then I think it would happen in the somewhat near future if they went to all that trouble to make it and the only thing left is the install.

I could also see how they could have it be something to draw attention and be a part of throughout the extended 50th anniversary celebration period.

I kinda hope attendance really does stay down so that maybe they are motivated to do "little things" like this or the explosions in BTMRR, etc. as ways to try to enhance the parks and attract guests that may be reluctant to return.

This management group will take the total opposite lesson and double down on cutting back.
