Are they actually going to be selling points at the resort or is it just going to be another option for those that already own? With such a small number of units I can't see how they could sell points for it as a home resort.

The rest of the details will be released October 9th, but they said they're looking at a late 2009 completion date

I should have more information October 2nd or 3rd, however I will be on the Disney Wonder those dates, so you all will either hear the rest from someone else, or have to wait until I get back.

Wouldn't that be swell?

If it wasn't for airfare, I'd be a world traveller at Disney.
Seriously, for $500 - $600 (add another $50-100 for water parks) for all access here in the U.S. I'd totally change my vacation habits. Really. Disney would have all of my extra money. We wouldn't be going to New York in November. We wouldn't be going to Michigan in 2 weeks. We wouldn't be going to Texas for Christmas. I could easily see 2 trips to each location each year. A week and a long weekend at each. I hate that the two are so seperated. It will never come about. Which coast gets how much money will always be the question. But a fan can dream.

So, in other words, there's still absolutely nothing happening around the North Wing of the Contemporary (which is still there, by the way, just invisible)?

is it true that Disney bought Ron Jon Surf Shop which is located in Long Beach Island NJ... also it comes with a piece of land so maybe there are going to make a beach resort.

Not unless people are going to sleep on the sidewalk. Although a Disney resort in LBI would be sweet. Not much room to put it though. This is the first I have heard of Disney & Ron Jon, whats the deal with that ?

They have to sell points. All DVC units are deeded real estate ownerships. There won't be a lot of points to go around, but some people will have GCV as their home resort.

Miceage reported this would be the topic of the announcement late last week. I'm surprised it wasn't posted here anywhere. Huh, guess I could've done that...
