New Disney Princesses?

One Little Spark...
Cross-genre media is often a tough sell. "I'll watch a swashbuckling pirate film, or a science fiction movie, but both? I can't handle that."

Agreed!! But we had a bunch of strong badass guys! 1 chick and she was as pointless as Hawkeye! LOL!

She got Loki to spill his plan, and the "strong badass guys" failed to actually act to prevent that plan.

Also, I'm sure there are many people who would tell you that having Scarlett Johanssen run around in a skintight black outfit for 90 minutes is NOT pointless, and I'd be one of them. :inlove:;)

Oh dont get me wrong...she's hot and I loved her moment with Loki (Loki is my man though, so I loved that scene just for that smile!! hahaha)....just in the MAJOR battle at the end...she just stood around and shot her gun with it's endless rounds! HAHAHA And Hawkeye with his arrows was almost laughable!

You start using logic when it comes to Disney Princesses, you lose quickly. Why do they show Rapunzel nearly always with her long blonde hair? It's gone by the end of the movie and will never grow back like that again.
How does Ariel get legs and lose them depending on where she is in the parks?
Why is Mulan a princess anyway? Did I miss something? She's the daughter of a soldier.

Anyway, personally, I like all of the new princesses. It could also have to do with having young daughters, so those movies are on rotation a lot, but I think they are good additions to "the lineup".

My daughter got this baby Ariel doll for Christmas a few years ago (it was her A-1, most desired gift that year) and it has legs. I have always been bothered by that.

In the Parks
Yes
I for one liked it when it was only focused on 3 Princesses Snow White, Cinderella & Aurora (And also toss Alice in the mix) in the earlier years of the park. It was only time until they found their marketing stratagem in 1989...But, I mean look at this little skit from the WDW 15th anniversary..

This is not bad..It makes the Princesses more like everyday characters and not being all Royal, Magical, and blah blah blah..They are humans too. And that's why I liked this.

The only thing that is going to be confusing is Elsa..She's a queen not a Princess. Why technically call her a Princess when she becomes a Queen 15 mins into the movie?

I still have this on VHS somewhere

My Disney Fanboy logic tries to justify this by saying Triton must just swap her back and forth between fins and legs. Then the realist comes out and realize that any real father would do that about 3-4 times maximum before yelling at her "Look, we all went through a TON Of s**t for you to get those legs. Ursula turned me into a mustachioed piece of rotten asparagus and nearly took over the ocean. You wanted legs, you're stuck with them now, stop bothering me! The Dolphins game is on!"
