I see where you are coming from, but I am 54 and I love playing with those horns and touch screens.

I just wish I had a chance to bounce on those Tigger pads before they took them out!

Maybe I'm just young at heart though and not an old grump like my contemporaries.

they're weren't as much fun as they looked! I promise you! They should have done a whole trampolene area built into the floor. Now that would have been fun.

You should let me go in your place. I will tough it out for you. Even send you a post card.

I think a more appropriate catchphrase would be: "This place has gone to hell. I'll need to book another vacation in three months to make sure though."

:brick: Kid-friendly, yes, but to say it is for toddlers is just wrong.

I should have clarified. Fantasyland is largely for the little ones but anyone of all ages can find fun there. I personally love playing in the line at Pooh (outside of the time some little kids stole my bee and hit my hand to get it and his parents did nothing but that's a whole different story) and love a ride on Peter Pan just as much as anyone else. However I recognize that this portion of the park is largely slanted towards those under a certain age but still enjoy myself.

Perhaps saying it was for "toddlers" was bad on my part but go there any day and the number of children and strollers in Fantasyland is very different than the number of strollers parked anywhere in the rest of the park.

There are several adult themed rides in the various Disney Parks, but I do tend to agree the marketing and overall additions have been catered towards children and younger children at that. I understand the big dollar will come from families and specifically those with kids, but I don't think it helps Disney shed it's image as a "little kids park" with how it's become lately.

This last May I was telling my girlfriend about Disney who hadn't been since she was kid - she didn't have a strong memory of it. She also had the response that it was a "kid's park" and there weren't alot of exciting rides. So I requested the DVD planner and popped it in. The first few lines narrated went something like, "Do you wish you could be a Princess or a Pirate?!" in a female voice clearly aimed at smaller children. Most of the DVD showed smaller children playing or interacting with characters, etc. This did not support my position that there were adult rides and activities.

I remember the "older days" of WDW marketing were geared towards the "thrills" of the scarier rides and had a broader spectrum of what Disney offered to all ages. Lately Disney seems to focused on a specific (younger) audience in their marketing, rides, and interactive queues. Don't get me wrong, I like the "kids rides" and all of the nuances about the parks, but it's a hard sell for those who aren't overly into Disney. I really wish they would add a few more adult oriented rides (ie: Tower of Terror, RNRC, TT, etc).

I definitely agree with this, I know in the Vacation DVD they have a couple segments on WDW for adults but the whole thing is geared towards families with younger children.

I wish they made like two vaca DVDs one geared towards families with young children and one with like older families with teens and adults. Either 2 DVDs or 2 options.

Short and sweet I didn't go to WDW for a couple of decades reason why??? Someone in their 20's or 30's without kids can go to much more adult places.

Happiest place on earth??? Bangkok Thailand if you want to go adult entertainment. Don't want to go that far and like roller coasters??? Cedar point, you won't see a bunch of toddlers there. Don't whine, like Pirates? Go to the real places down in the islands. Go to Port Royal and have a real chance at getting robbed just like the good Ole days. LOL. Bored with the Jungle Cruise??? Real boat in the Amazon should wake you right up. Chance of real death there, lots of fun. A few ideas for the poster.

Must be a full moon.

Another thread where "if you dont have the same opinion as I do...your wrong". If anybody has visited WDW over a number of years can not deny the essence of what has been said on these boards.

To just say it is all wonderful and I enjoy myself is not fair. There are those that consider themselves as pureist, is that wrong? It is like paying over a $100 to go to a baseball game and being chastized for booing the home team. We are paid customers and if we are unhappy ( in our opinion) we have a right to if done in a cival manner....voice our displeasure.

I personally agree with the OP, someone tell me what has been added that is geared toward "adults only"? I am the opinion that it has declined by degrees (for adults). I know...I know WDW isnt for "adults only" but what it is for....all types of famlies and believe it or not there are families without children, or families with older children. Personally I think TDO misses the mark on this group. They have more disposable income then famlies with children.

Where is the marketing effort for the great golf courses they have, or why they dont push Boardwalk as an Adult destination is beyond me. I wont even go into the whole PI fiasco.
