New Disney Bus Paint Scheme

Not bad. I like the concept of simple and clean. The current buses with the mock cruise ship design with the port hole windows are also kind of cool!

And I think it looks foolish. We all are different aren't we? Imagine trying to keep us all happy. Doesn't seem easy does it?

Haha True. I'm fairly certain that the trend will be to have at least half of the fleet wrapped with whatever the latest Star Wars, Marvel, or Pixar movie is. They wrapped a monorail train with Iron Man 3. I am a little OCD, so I would prefer uniformity with simple clean designs, but I think the marketing machine combined with the relatively low cost of wrapping vehicles will give us lots of different tacky designs.

Only one monorail ever has a wrap on it and most of the time there is always one with a wrap on. Disney has wrapped monorails with torn, iron man 3, etc. As for buses I am fairly certain a bus has never had a full wrap on like the monorails.

WAY too silver, I hate silver cars, silver buses and anything silver and boring. If it was white and red it would look better IMO.
So wait, a nearly full white bus is interesting, but a bus that is a mix of silver, red,and white strips is boring?

Yes. The "nearly full white" busses are cute. These new ones - like them or not - cannot be described as "cute."

I've always thought the cruise line busses were fine. Not particularly cute, but they have a unique Disney thing going on.

These new busses are boring and (IMO) ugly.

But it is what it is. If we get new busses, that's what we get.

Just a note there is a fine line between "cute" and boring or interesting. I personally am A fan of the new buses because the old buses are mostly white, which to me makes me think of the MTA buses (I live near NYC, so Buses to me are just trucks with seats in'm.

It's a matter of personal taste, I don't like silver so for me a white bus with neat red engraving is way nicer than a silver one.

Don't get me wrong it doesn't really matter what the bus look like anyway, I'll still enjoy not needing a car and having free bus service.

That's me and Lady H's thoughts as well!
Those buses are so welcome, no matter what colour they are/going to be!

You should see that red at night, it is reflective so when lights shine on it, it literally glows. A very good safety feature.:)

With a paint scheme as complex at that one, multicolored, and many bands of color, it would easily take a week or more per bus to repaint them all. I'm not sure how many buses Disney owns now, but a few years ago it was over 100, so don't expect to see them all done for the next couple of years minimum.:(

Last I heard, they have something like 210 buses (or thereabouts). I'm pretty sure the exact number was 209 when I last talked to Disney sometime around 2009/2010.

That's probably why Disney does it!

I've notice that most companies operating in the world seem to be in it for the money, funny that!

Jay was just being smart, implying that you're paying for the bus already, through your hotel bill. That's a topic for a completely different thread.

Your point about it being a free service, compared to driving your own car around, is correct.

And for the record, I don't mind the new paint job. At least safety was put into play.

How cool that the paint is reflective, a nice safety feature.

Buses are free as in you are not paying for it right when you get in. HOW we pay for it though, like @Tom said, is a matter for another thread.

Technically, the busses are free. You could go to Disney and ride around on various busses all day long and then leave. You need not stay in a Disney hotel to utilize them.

So, there is a free activity at WDW. Ride the bus, lol. :)

I'd imagine they will go all out come SW Ep7... An EPCOT line wrap and likely things all over the resort.
