I called my AAA agent last week and she was doubtful that we could get the discount since we got such a good deal from their magical moments package. She was going to check into it and get back to me. So far I haven't heard from her. It seems like pulling teeth to get an agent around here that is a Disney expert, let alone someone who is a Disney fan! We would be really happy if they just added the waterpark option Either way we're just excited to be going!:sohappy:

I went to AAA to price check a potential trip and their prices were $100 more than what I could get directly through Disney. They're good if you don't like planning things on your own but I would definitely suggest pricing around first.

I booked through AAA, moved my trip 2 times with no fees, then changed the promo package to the current hopper/waterpark upgrade, and still got my initial discount. But the upgrade code was different for AAA.

I do understand not everyone has a good AAA agent, though...

That is very true. We has a AAA agent who was a Disney fan and seemed to know a lot about Disney and got us some very good discounts. Unfortunately she left AAA for a different career and we were kind of left twisting in the wind. The new person we spoke with kept getting us higher prices than what we could get on the website. So we moved on to Kingdom Konsultants and got our discounts.

I would suggest that anyone using AAA just be vigilant and really know what you are talking about because when it comes to Disney they may not know much. Also once they have you booked, they have too much other non-Disney bookings to worry about getting you added discounts. Just be aware and don't be afraid to press them or move on if they are not doing the job for you.

If I would book a Disney trip for say...May 2008 now and a discount code is released in January or later, can that code still be applied? If I would book directly through Disney, could I call them and would they apply it to the package? Can that ONLY be done through AAA or a travel agent?

Disney releases discount codes for a limited amount of booking time and they are for certain travel dates. These discounts that are in this thread must be booked by Dec. 15th. They are for most travel dates Jan. 1, 2008 - March 15, 2008. They can not be applied for travel dates other than these.

If you are booked through Disney and they released a code for your travel dates, then you may call Disney and see if you can get that discount. If you are booked through, say Kingdom Konsultant, we would watch for the code and call Disney for you to try and get it applied.

When Disney releases a discount, the number of discounted rooms available are very limited and go quickly. It's not guaranteed that a discounted room will be available at your resort for your travel dates, so sometimes it helps if you can be flexible.

To expand on Elizabeth's answer, yes you can call and apply the code however there is no guarantee that because you have a room at a certain resort at the regular price that it is guaranteed that you will get a room at that same resort at the discounted pricing. As Elizabeth said, the discounted rooms tend to go very quickly. Booking a certain resort does NOT help in terms of getting one of these rooms and in fact may reduce your chances by reducing the amount of rooms that a resort thinks it has to put into the discounted rate. I only have one question....Why would anyone use AAA?

From the pricing I have done in the past there have not been any greater discounts thru them than going thru Disney.

With that said....Call Kingdom Konsultants...they are Disney experts! :sohappy:
and service IMHO is next to none!

Hey there BGraham, Which discount would that be?? If it was for the January one, good deal!!! Tell her to hurry as the offer expires in about 10 days and of course the sooner you call the more choice of availability she will have. If yu are referring to May, nothing has been announced as of yet so we cant quote discounted rates as we dont know what they will be, if there will be any available!!! Hope this helps!! Belle
