But nothing is open, its just a shell of itself with some rides open, why would you spend that kind of money, especially when the parks are only open 9-6

Kinda disappointed with these offers.
Priced out a Thanksgiving week stay for two adults.
It was MORE than the same stay that we had a few years back for three adults.
Same resort, Sunday thru Saturday.
I understand prices go up, but c’mon!:rolleyes:

Hours are relative. We’re well past the trips where we were in the parks open to close. With current wait times, there’s plenty of time to do more than we usually do.
And that's the right mindset. Sure it will be a different kind of trip, and it has already been established on other threads that the majority of attractions are open. At AK, we don't usually spend a lot of time on the exploration trails - we will this time. At HS, we've not seen Toy Story Land or Galaxy's Edge before - we will this time. At Epcot, we've never been during Food and Wine to enjoy the food carts - we will this time. We barely do more than sleep and shower at our resort - this time we'll relax more and not be totally worn out when we get home.

It's kind of crazy for someone to say that just because they may not feel like it's worth it to them that you must be an idiot if you're going right now. We though, are counting down the days just like any other trip. That part won't change.

We’re similar.

One of the things we’ve enjoyed about our universal trips over the last few years is no need to check your watch. I’m looking forward to experiencing something close to that at Disney again. No ADRs and no fast passes actually sounds great.

We also are looking forward to that different kind of trip. No watching the the clock for ADRs, FP, camping out for shows and parades and no wall to wall people in lines everywhere. It'll just be nice to be there and enjoy it for all that it is.

He's been telling that to people all across the board. He can't help himself. Put him down as not wanting to go. Got it.

We are the same way. Our kids are younger so we never bothered with rope drop closing down the park. Even if it was just my husband and I the different hours but lower crowds would still be ok with us. We've never been show watchers, we always used that time to take advantage of lower waits at some rides. Truthfully, we didn't even take them into consideration when booking our trip. And maybe that's because we live in Florida and don't feel like we HAVE to get everything in every single day. We take time to relax at the pool, we don't plan on getting to the parks before 9 and I never really made a fp before 10.

I'm ready to go and have fun at Thanksgiving but I'm aware that's a really busy time for the parks. Maybe not as busy as last year, but with these discounts, I'm expecting hour waits for everything, since there won't be fastpass. I know that's part of the game, but we've been spoiled with Fastpass and it's hard for me to justify a 90 minute wait for the Safaris. If they do increase Park Capacity, they may have to do something about wait times....

We check in on Black Friday and that Sat/Sun I'm expecting the same (we are doing Epcot and AK those days) and look forward to hopefully reduced lines starting that Monday :)
