New Credit Card Security Check

It happens. I got carded at Five Below for buying two dollars worth of candy with my Disney visa.

My parents share one that has Bambi on it. My dad looks embarrassed to pull it out and insists that it's his wife's not his.

That's a tad cheap.... What happens when the card wears out?

They print a new one? Where I worked at before, we made check cards in the branches. Before we used the machines that had the name and number embossed. We switched to a new system that just prints everything out, except for the foil hologram. It was cheaper for them to go down this route, along with it being easier to manage card stock. The only reason the information on cards were raised in the first place was for the old credit card imprint machines.

Anything that keeps me and my money safer while I'm across the country on vacation is fine with me. Whether I'm responsible for a small amount or not, anything that they can do to avoid the hassle is greatly appreciated.
