New characters at MK

At MK today I noticed two brightly colored flower characters meeting in the new hub area. I know Disney movies very well and I've never seen these characters in a movie before. Made me wonder why Disney chooses to pay to produce these costumes along with everything else all for two random characters nobody's ever heard of but refuses to let the princes meet alongside the princesses or Wendy meet with Peter. Anybody know who these characters are or why they're here?

ah. Well I guess I appreciate them adding extra things like this, but still it's frustrating when there are so many other more well-known characters who no longer appear.

They are very fun and it's weird. With no real line to meet them they just chill about in the new hub area. It's kinda cool actually.

I'm all for atmosphere entertainment parade dancers are a start...but why not a couple of bunnies? Thumper and Rabbit maybe?

I remember those flowers! They were in that old Disney animated classic, "Flowers"! The movie also featured an evil weed, wisecracking butterflies, and I think an opera-singing blade of grass...

I'm actually pretty sure that these are flowers from Alice in Wonderland. I don't really see the point why they're out. Like @asianway said, they should have Rabbit and/or Thumper meeting instead of flowers who nobody even recognizes.

because Disneyland get bunnies... and AP events and new entertainment.

Orlando gets fake grass and not much new... its ok though, the tourists keep coming and the money keeps coming in!

Well, it would make sense to tie them to some Disney movie, but perhaps it is just for the Easter-time/Spring Break .
