New Celebration fow WDW....

I like the celebrations, but since they always stretch them out, I end up seeing them twice:

I saw the pink birthday cake twice, I celebrated the millenium twice, and, when I go in January, it looks like I'll see 100 YOM for the second time.

That would a company wide celebration and my guess it wouldn't encompass all of WDW like 100 Years of Magic.

There is another thread somewhere on this board with the same topic, and I remember reading on it that Disney might do a celebration honoring Epcots upcoming birthday (20th?). But I don't know, because Epcot was the host for the 2000 Celebration. The Animal Kingdom needs a celebration now. (Would they even be able to do that because of all the animals?)

Um, hate to tell you, but you're a little over a month late for Epcot's 20th. It opened October 1, 1982. 100 YoM eclipsed the WDW Resort's (and, of course, simultaneously MK'S) 30th birthday. The Studios turn 15 in 2004. AK turns 5 in 2003. Mickey turns 75 in 2003. We'll have to wait and see what the marketing department brings.

Since 2003 is only two months away and the 100th will run to the end of February I think it likely that even with Mickey's BD, there won't be any major changes (other than banners and merchandise, etc.) to the parks such as parades and the like. I see these parades running pretty much the same until 2006 with the 35th Anniversary. Again that's not to say that there won't be some minor changes, possible change to Mickey's float at the MK or the like, but I think that there won't be any major changes until 2006. Oh yeah I forgot to mention the fact that the economy sucks and Disney (suffering form these same economics) isn't about to spend millions upon millions of dollars for new parades that it just made a year ago.
