I finally got myself a nice new dSLR camera. It is a ton of fun to shoot and some of the pics came out very nicely. So, I turned a few into wallpapers. You can check them out as photos or use as wallpapers if you desire.

These pics are from 5/20 and 5/23

It came down to the Nikon D70 and the Canon 350d. I finally went with the D70 mainly because of feel. Both cameras are exceptional and take fantastic pictures. However, the 350 felt small in my hands. I could not hold the camera tightly and have my finger on the shutter. The D70 just felt better in my hands.

This was a massive jump for me. It was my first non-Canon since 1976.

Jasmine and Aladdin have been scarce for me. I am sure they are out, just not when I happen to be in an area.

Well, I paid $1700 but that was for alot more then just the D70. There was a package that included a printer, some free digital prints, a 70-300 lens, a 2 year service plan, a camera bag and a couple other things. I also bought 2 very nice UV lens. And on top of the $1700 I have $200 in rebates coming to me.

i cannot WAIT to take my digital photography class at my university! (part of my degree)

i LOVE to take pictures, and don't really know all the technicalities (sp?) of great picture taking. many of the members on the board (including you) have a great talent at picture taking! thanks for sharing!

on a side note... does anyone know how you can take pictures without a flash, and the pictures not be fuzzy? if i don't use the flash on my dig. camera, the pictures do not focus well at all!
