There is a nice piece on the Space Mountain re-do over on JimHillMedia.com this morning (NOT written by Jim ;) ). It sounds like there is going to be some awsome effects in there.

The last paragraph is worrying though:
Next time I’ll be looking at what the future could hold for this distinctly European take on the Tomorrowland concept. There are some big changes afoot and not all of them are going to be popular...

Lets make a land in DLP called Direct lift Land...

We can have winnie the Pooh... next to a new ride taken from DCA called sorrin over California....

Whats next... Those rides added to the line up... comeone.. Build some of the original rides you had in mind for the aprk in the early to mid 90s..... B&TB and TLM...

Although I Hate the idea of the buzz-ride that IS actually replacing Visionarium, the other ideas that will be opened each year until 2008 look promissing to me....

A Tower of Terror-ride may not save the studios, but is will undoubtly be a crowdpleaser (even if it is a 10 year old concept, they can alway improve the original idea as they did with SM), wich will in fact bring more people to the park and provide proof for investors that the park is worth expanding and investing in.

SM;M2 will not be a total-loss as it won't be a replacement of the Verne-theme, but rather a disney-designed sequal to the original From-the-earth-to-the-moon-story.

The future DOES look promissing for DLRP, but we will just have to wait and see...
There'll be plenty of time to be negative about the future rides when they open.

I agree but this is a quick fix. I hope it'll at least do the job and get attendance back up!

I also hope that after attendance is up they build The Little Mermaid dark ride and demolish Buzz! :goodnevil

I hope you right, but I don't think ToT is going to WOW them in France.
Rumor has it the Sunset Blvd leading up to it will just be painted scenery.
For a park that has no themeing or atmosphere, it could have really used a Sunset Blvd.
From what I've read I'm actually looking forward to seeing SM:M2 more (I can hardly wait to see what this rumored Victorian Space Station looks like!!!).
I really love DLP. I wish I could visit more often (Paris is a long way from Toronto). I do hope they can turn things around once and for all.
Then they can build some real rides like TLM, B&TB, WRE & Indy.
