I happened to be in the Norway gift shops this evening, and this caught my eye:

Sorry for the crappy photo quality, it comes courtesy of my cellphone camera. The large text on the bottom reads "Vikings," and below that is "High Seas" or something like it. It retails for $24.95. Not necessarily the most exciting thing in the world, but it's always nice to see any attraction-specific merchandise.

Is it black?

And this gives me hope for other attractions...heres hoping for a splash mountsain tshirt that dosent look like it belongs at a six flags gift shop.(the tye dye one)

I want something retro looking a nice brown or grey or khaki with the attraction poster on it. Now that i would pay good money for.

ahahaha Im sure alot of others would too. Those retro shirts at Epcot are great they should do more all over especially at MGM...er i mean DHS. The shirts they sell mostly are just too gimmicky. I want to be able to wear my disney shirt somewhere other than on property or in my house:ROFLOL:

25 dollars- holy moly....

I like it- but I'd only pay at the most 15 dollars for a simple shirt like that.

I LOVE this shirt...and I really hope it signals a trend toward more retro- and attraction-themed merchandise. My grandma picked me up one of the blue EPCOT Center shirts in October and I've been getting a ton of compliments :)

It's good that they're bringing back Retro stuff, but I think the modern attraction t-shirts need to be more subtle. I'm not sure any of us want to wear a tie-died Splash Mountain t-shirt.

This cannot be said enough.
I want to wear Disney stuff, especially from the parks, but I don't want to look like a tourist. There are some great shirts at Everest that are really pretty and girly, and most people have to have the "Everest" part pointed out to them. I get a lot of compliments, and even more when I say I got them at a theme park.

I would love a t-shirt that just has a small image of the Soarin' logo in the top right of the shirt. It would be subtle - Those that don't know what the shirt represents wouldn't think twice about it, and those that did know what it represents would immediately recognize it.

^^^^
Being subtle is key for me. I agree with you 100%.

Thats why i dont own many disney park shirts they are just to "extravagant" for my tastes.

I'm just happy to see the merchandise on the shelves! To me, that's a win after all of the rumors a couple of months back that all area-specific merchandise was going to be discontinued.

Now if we could just get some resort-specific merchandise back, we'd be in business.

The Maelstrom shirt has been available since at least September.
Wonder how it's selling....

In related notes, I finally got me a Jungle River shirt in AL yesterday.
Also...Emporium is selling t-shirts for "Time Travelers." (Who can guess what I mean by that?)
