We stayed there last year the week thast it opened. We aboslutely adored it! We had a Savannah view room and it was just breath taking to see the animals. The pool is huge and our kids swam every chance they had. We stayed 5 days and had a 4 day park hopper so we really regretted not having more time at the hotel. We went back to the hotel with plans to return to the parks in the evening, but never left!:sohappy:
We are staying there in just 37 days .. and vanryan we were thinking that we were not going to have enough time just to enjoy the Resort ..we watched the piece on Travel Channel about it and it just made us crazy ..hubby says they will have to drag us kicking and screaming on our last day
I envy you your trip. To spend the day at the parks and return to the resort was a truly magical trip. It is the perfect blend of man-made magic and the natural kind. Congratulations!
We have sorta been moaning about the current post of park hours ..but now we are thinking how it might not be so bad since we will be able to go back and really enjoy the resort in the evenings
I've stayed twice....it's just wonderful! Make sure you request a room on the third floor (best) or higher. The 2nd floor was a little darker, and the animals were harder to see in the distance.
We just got back from AKL and we loved it. We stayed on the 4th floor. We had a pool view, but we constantly saw the animals. There are many viewing areas, including just looking out the window in the hall way. The staff treat you great. It is truly a work of art. My two daughters loved it. You will be so thankful that you stayed there. There is only one thing that i would have changed and that is that i would have stayed 2 weeks instead of one.
I'll "second" all the opinions as well. We went last October, and had the best time ever at WDW. It is a magical resort, and by far, is better than any of the others.
You will not want to leave. You will also find yourself spending a bit more time at the resort than in the parks than you would usally do. It's a entertainment center all on itself.
