New Additions To Pirates

I agreee whole heartedly, I was thinking that after the first movie was made. They could easily add Mr. Gibbs in there with minimal down time. He would be asleep so no need to synch up audio, just replace the existing AA with the pigs with Mr. Gibbs, that would be a fun little addition. :sohappy:

With the success of the three Pirates movies...I'm sure more changes will come!

I wonder if there will be a fourth..with 2 of the stars (orlando and keira) not wanting to continue, plus the director not committing, who knows what will happen.

"We've been working on this trilogy for 5 1/2 years, and the latest one was just a monster," he told today's (Tuesday) Los Angeles Times. "It's always about making sure you have a great story with interesting plots, themes and characters. There is a possibility-- we'll see what happens."

i kinda feel if they make a 4th one it is just going to be to make more $ instead of focusing on a good story. if they can pull it off with a good story and all the stars, then great. i guess we'll just have to wait and see

Depends on how you take his comments, and how do you know they wont have a good script? The film had a pretty open ending and it would be a damn site simpler to focus on telling the story of Jack and his relationship with Barbossa without the baggage of Will and the token Doris cluttering up plot space.

I have never thought this before of any movie franchise (and I'm sure I'm in the vast minority here), but really hope they do another film. Even though At World's End is nearing 3 hours, I wanted it to go on and on! I'm with The Depp, I'm not ready to let Capt. Jack go either.

Truth: Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are hot and I'd watch the two of them read the phonebook. The more Pirates movies the better for me!

But Disney should leave the attraction alone. Some things are sacred.

As far as making the movie just for money ... isn't that what they all were for? I must have missed the part where they all skipped their salaries to make the best movie possible.

The Pirates series (its not a trilogy, they WILL make at least one more movie, as long as Depp is serious when he says he wants to keep doing it) is about making fun movies that make money. Story isn't going to be the most important part of it.
There are plenty of places they could go with the story, and none really have to be related to what we've seen if they don't want to go there.

I think they r gonna make another one pretty much just because Depp is on board for another one. If he is willing to do it i'm sure Disney will make another one.

And to steer this thread back on course, I think it would be kinda hard for Disney to add The Turners to the ride just because of the fact that they would have to change the whole story around again and then figure out places to put the 2 of them. It wouldn't bother me if they were in the ride I enjoy their characters in the movie, but in the ride i don't know they would just seem out of place.

I wouldnt mind them adding in some more AAs from the movies. You can them to the background without them having to be a centerpiece and that would tie the movies and the ride a bit better. I think it can be done for the sake of enhancing/plusing and the ride does not need to change all that much.

As for a 4th movie, if they do it I would like to see it be pre COTBP. Seeing Jack and Barbossa in the begining could be cool.
