New 2012 race announcment?

Did I imagine this, or was there talk of a new race to be announced for 2012 at WDW? Perhaps as a replacement for the ESPN race.

Ohh I would hope for an announcement!!

But at Wine and Dine 2011, there weren't any clues or talk or rumors or enigmatic signs toying at anything new coming.

Hopefully a new race, when announced, will have an afterparty component to it--those are really the most fun.

Are you confusing the Tinkerbell 1/2? They had a lot of hoopla surround that announcement.

As I recall, Disney said they were ending the D!ck's Sporting Goods 5K but there would be something to replace it. The press release has to be around here somewhere, right? :lookaroun

Has anyone else noticed the Everest Challenge has been moved up to May 5?

…The 2012 version of the Expedition Everest Challenge (a 5K event that also involves an obstacle course and scavenger hunt) takes place on May 5, 2012. No registration date has yet been announced.

Wasn't the D!ck's Sporting Goods 5K and ESPN: the weekend around that same time period? :lookaroun

The Everest Challenge was in may last year....they might have moved it a week (at most).
