Never stop checking for those reservations!

We had to cancel half of our trip, and all of our dining reservations (canceled the dining plan!) :( Our car broke down and ate 1,200.00 of what we had set aside for vacation. I managed (with the help of a very nice customer service lady) to whittle away the same amount from the vacation and was left with 3 nights in DW (as opposed to 6) :( and 2 day park tickets (as opposed to 5) and no dining! (Will be bringing sandwiches in with us and lots of eating in our room). I was okay with it all, because we were still getting to go, that's the important part! But the thing that really stung was canceling Cinderella's Royal Table. We were no longer going to be there on that particular day so it had to go. Welllll... I've been stalking the reservations and found a breakfast someone had canceled for 1 of the 2 days we will be there! I'm SO thrilled, and it worked out even more because breakfast is the cheapest meal there ;). I was SO excited to take our 4 year old to the castle for a meal, I cannot believe I was able to snag that. I'm sure it will be something we never forget. Please cross your fingers for me that nothing else goes wrong in the next month!! :) AND if there's a reservation you really want, keep checking MULTIPLE times a day, you may just get it!

So sorry for all your troubles. Glad you will get to eat at the castle with your little one, that's surely something you will all remember.

I'm sorry that happened to you! Never give up on those ADR's! Magic at Disney never ceases to amaze me!!! I can personally say that I have done this several times - and even for picking a resort room type as well - and I got what I wanted b/c I kept checking over and over again. :)

Thanks everyone! I'm still excited about going and still getting to go inside the castle is thrilling!!! I had wanted to do Akershus too but Im thinking with just 2 days we will stick to Magic Kingdom this time. THe crowds are supposed to be low the 2 days we are there so hopefully that turns out to be true.

Oh and I should also add that we had to cancel my daughters BBB also because again, we werent going to be in the parks that day but I was able to get a morning reservation at Downtown Disney for our check in day. :) Yay! We don't have a park ticket for that day so it will give us something to do and she still gets her hairdo done! Hopefully it will still be somewhat in place the next day for her Cinderella Breakfast. :)

TERRIlYNN just got back from 2 weeks at Disney World your story makes me feel bad. Maybe there is a way you can contact me. I would like to assist you to pay for your Cinderellas Royal Table no joke not sure how we can on this forum? When you going?

They really do the hair and are heavy on the hair spray so it should be okay. You should avoid swimming that day if possible but it should still be okay. :)

Glad things worked out for you.

Your post reminded me to check on a reservation I wanted to switch to a later time. I have been checking on this periodically with no luck. Today, I was able to make the switch. So thanks for the reminder! Our day at Animal Kingdom will run a little smoother thanks to you.

Indeed, I've been going all paparazzi on the reservation site. I'm looking for a Crystal Palace pre-8:20am on Sept 16th and a CRT pre-8:30am on the 21st. Fingers crossed!

Thank you! Yes car troubles stink! We were due though, the little Honda has almost 200,000 and had never spent anything on it (other than my husband having a wreck in it once).

That is SO sweet of you to even think that!I was just reading back through all the messages and saw this, I wanted to respond and thank you so much for thinking of us, perfect strangers and to offer something like that was just so awesome of you. But really, we are fine, we made it work. My parents decided they are going to drive us down there in their Rv, we switched the reservations yet again to 1 night in the Pop resort and 2 days worth of tickets, then we will be staying with them in their Rv. With that savings we will be able to do the Cinderella Meal, so it all worked out. We are going later this month so it was too late to totally cancel without paying the 200.00 fee to Disney, but in a way I'm kind of glad because this way we can enjoy a Disney hotel for a day and she can play in the pool, then we will have the next 2 days in the parks (and just stay with Grandma & Grandpa those nights) , so it's like she is getting 3 days at Disney. :) Hope you had a wonderful 2 weeks! That would be so amazing, I'm SO excited to go, I wish we could fast forward until its time! lol Thank you again for your offer, that was really the kindest thing anyone has ever said to us!

Keep trying on crystal palace I just got a 8:05 reservation on sept 16th two days ago!! It has been months of searching and one day it happened to be there..lol Good luck
