Never-ending Sunset!

I guess it’s a Florida thing I’d forgotten, but it’s almost 10pm and the sky is still a beautiful peach color. It was a cloudy evening so I guess that’s why. Amazing though - it never happens where we live, it’d always be pitch black by now. So nice!

That happens near any city. It’s called light pollution, not magic.
Well, it didn't happen any other night this week - I was out there every night. As I said, the first cloudy night seemed to have something to do with it, but it was definitely sunlight, not only man-made light. But you're probably right that man-made light was an element.

There's no way it was sunlight at 10:30pm. You're at the Polynesian, right? It's probably the TTC parking lot lights. You can see them lighting up the sky for many miles around, especially on cloudy evenings.

Sunset in Orlando has been just after 6:30pm this week, with astronomical twilight by 8pm. (Meaning that none of the sun's light is lighting up the sky any more)
What you were seeing was ground based lights shining on the cloud cover.

Jeeeze let the op think whatever they want, they just paid several thousand dollars for a Disney vacation. If high pressure sodium lights simulating perpetual twilight make someone happy, let them be happy.

When he gets his CC statement he’ll probably be seeing stars.
And an upcharge for the Disney Extended Sunset Experience, with a slight discount because OP obviously never picked up his cupcake.

We need time for things to happen.
