So we are leaving in 14 days...and i thought i had planned and planned - but now i am getting nervous - not sure if i will have enough $$ (although i will have cc as a backup)
Hotel, Tickets for the parks, tickets for cirque, and our PS breakfasts (5 of the 7 days) are all prepaid....Car Rental is also taken care of
I also bought $150 in disney Dollars to give to my 2 young daughters to use for whatever they want.......
But am wondering if $1500 will handle the 7 days we will be there - just the little girls and myself...I am not planning any major meals other than 1 dinner at 1900 park
I will be buying drinks and snacks for the room as we will have a full kitchen where we are staying....
Have i missed anything major ???
I appreciate any input you might have.....

Your Meals & Tickets are paid for? You just need snacks? Does the $1500 include the girls Disney Dollars?

Sounds like you have everything covered. How old are the girls?
You will need autograph books and a thick pen (come out of the girl's money?)
Don't forget a camera, light backpack(s) to carry snacks and "stuff".
You will still need some sunscreen, bandaids, kids Tylenol or Motrin, and we always bring a small bottle of cold medicine (cause we always get sick). How about some Pepto, just in case. I keep a small travel first aid kit with all of this packed inside our suitcases so we are ready.
Pack a sweater/light jacket (we always seem to forget those) especially for the kids.

Relax, have fun and we'll see you when you get back.

Thanks for the info... I am buying my "extras"today (like moleskin, rain ponchos) - we already have sweatshirts, etc.
The $150 in disney dollars is in addition to the 1500. Also my girls have saved some of their own money (they are 5 & 9) to use for their " i wants".
I will plan on having a great time as it has been 2 years since we have been...

Get the pre cut Moleskin or you will need scissors (if you're flying, pack them in the suitcase, not a carry on or they be confiscated). Not sure of the ponchos at this time of year, but better safe than sorry.

You should have enough money when everything is figured in.
Are you staying on site? If you are get your key linked to your credit card. It makes life easier and then they will bill the cc company for the charges. (but then my kids are 16 & 10 and its just easier for us)

Thank you so much for your responses. I am just nervous that I will not be forgetting something ...and i am not underestimating the amount of $$$ I will need.
Right now I am in the pre- Disney excitement/nervousness....
I am not sure who is more excited - me or the girls

As my mom put it there really is no right amount of money to bring and spend. Some trips she brings alot of spending cash and uses it all, or we return home with some to where she puts that back in for the next trip.

As long as you don't go crazy in the shops, you are only looking at food outside your pre-paid meals. All Ears Net has a listing of all the menus, where you can see that your budget should be OK: http://allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm
