I really enjoyed SGE! I liked AE as well (it scared my husband silly,) and although ther are superficial similarities, I think it is unfair to compare the two attractions. I can understand why diehard AE fans will be disappointed by SGE, but I think there are going to be some very happy kids coming off the attraction. I thought the story made sense, although it is pretty basic. As for the the chili dog smell, I think that was also aimed at 8-12 year olds. I can remember when I was that age that we all collected stickers that smelled like skunk, vomit, etc.:hurl: BTW, there were some younger kids (probably 5-7) when I was there, and I did not hear any crying or yelling.

:Nothing is going to change my opinion. I hated it, and that's that. And to tell you the truth....if it wasn't for CoP I wouldn't walk into Fantasyland East, I mean Tomorrowland ever again. I know some of you probably hate me now for my comments, and I hope you all can enjoy this attraction.

No one is going to hate you for your comments, but it is all in the way you present yourself. If you use the word HATE over and over, people are not going to take you seriously. If you used a less "harsh" criticism and more elaborate description of what you liked/did not like, people will respect your opinion as opposed to thinking you are some off-centered internet maniac :D :D :D

HATE is a strong word. I can't say I HATE any amusement park attraction. It's not like it kicked me in the groin and p i s s ed on my wheaties or anything.

How were the guest reactions at the very end? And did any children cry?

I never heard anything. No laughter, no crying, no nothing. There was never any periods of complete darkness (the back of the cannons were lit) or anything that would really scare younger children. I guess WDI succeeded in that department.....

That is true. I shouldn't have written a review like that, but those were just my thoughts because I was still mad about it. I will take the time to write a "less harsh," detailed review and post it at a later time. :)

I should note that the pictures aren't working. All I get is Photobucket emblems.

I'll fix that right away.

BTW, I'm done with posting photo updates....seems like every time I do one some arguing gets sparked up (remember the "Attack of the Cheerleaders" thread?). I'll leave the job to Patrick.

I have to say, Test Track has probably one of the best lines in all of WDW. (I can only think of maybe Kali and Space Mountain beating it).

I do love the Test Track and Kali River Rapids queues. I just hate I never really get to see the Kali one anymore because of FP. But I'll take it if I'm going to avoid those huge waits over there.

I happened to finally see Kali's line when it was downpouring in AK all day. The weather cleared up for just the right amount of time to wait to go on. (I also rode Dinosaur 10 times that day making me officially now love the ride I used to despise).

You guys have to be kidding me! Snow White's queue line is the most detailed and fantastic line I've ever waited in. :lookaroun
Then you have never had the pleasure of standing in line for the TeaCups. Now THAT is a line.

More seriously, though, I really like Space Mountain's queue line over Mission Space. Adds a lot more realism . . . also *love* the background music.

I LOVE that Space Mouontain queue theme. I have it one of those WDW Forever CDs and it is one of my favorite tracks. It somehow pulls off a future-retro feel with an orchestra. Very neat.

And, of course, the TTA tunnel/second SM queue area theme can be played side by side as part of the "We've Come So Far" music tracks (there was a theme song). Talk about thread drift. :D

Space does have a nice queue....but it is so HOT in there (especially if you wait for a long time). Can't they add a couple more air vents or fans? :veryconfu

But airvents would open the ride to the deep vacuum of space!

The last thing we need is all the air at WDW to sucked through an air vent in Space Mountain.

Come on man, what are you thinking?

I'm amazed that someone could actually "hate" this attraction. I'm by no means a kid, and I really enjoyed it. If I had to complain about any part of it, I wasn't really happy with the modifications to SIR. Maybe because I wasn't expecting a cartoon-based attraction to scare me, I wasn't set up to be disappointed. A .1 out of 10 is pretty harsh, if you ask me. I thought WDI did a phenomenal job, and I'll repeat what I put in my trip report about Stitch:

Best. Audioanimatronic. Ever.

Stitch is like most new Disney attractions - good and bad.

I'm not understanding some of the reviews people have put up - there certainly is near-total darkness for much of the last half of the show. The laser guns are lit a tiny bit, but once the Stitch animatronic disapears and he is "messing" with you from behind it's about as dark as you can get.

I guess it's just that the effects didn't impress me very much - I think they are much more fufilling in Philharmagic. It didn't seem like much water was coming out of the guns (I didn't get hit - I was sitting near the exit in the 2nd row), and I didn't get much of a sense of 3D audio - just that it was behind me. I believe at one point he "breathes" on you, but other than that it's just this odd shaking on the restraints. That's the one I really didn't get - he's bouncing on something and it makes the restraints move?

It did seem to be pleasing the crowd, and as has been repeated several times the animatronic Stitch is pretty amazing. His movement is very nice, especially the legs. You can't see his feet but you do get a nice sense of movement. It definately will impress kids just because they get to see Stitch "live", but the animatronic really was underused in my eyes. After he disapears (about 1/2 way through) the rest of the show is the aforementioned effects in the dark with Stitch giggling somewhere behind you.

It's a neat little thing, and kids will love it, but personally it will be the Tiki Room to me - something I will do every few visits when the line isn't bad or I feel like doing something different. Hopefully the effects will be turned up a bit - that would bring me back more often.
