Well everyone, I've returned from a fun trip to the World once again. The trip was well, messed up, I guess you would say, and we wound up staying only Saturday night at Music (when we were staying Friday and Saturday) and I only visited the parks Sunday (when I was suppose to visit Saturday and Sunday). If you want to know why, you'll have to check out my trip report in the coming hours or tomorrow. Anyways, I visited Epcot and the Magic Kingdom yesterday. Crowds were large but lines were managable to wait in.
We'll start off at Epcot first.......
.......The Flower and Garden Festival is going on now and looks great. The fountain in front of Mission: SPACE is a nice touch as well.
.......Soarin' Over Someplace (as I like to call it) construction is somewhat visible from FW East. On the monorail it is also visible but is somewhat hidden behind trees.
........At the 9am opening guests were directed to enter the park to the right side of Spaceship Earth. Guests also going to FW East had to go around Pin Central. I believe this was because of the inline skating competition.
........Mission: SPACE is already showing signs of bad show. I'll post a picture so you can see what I mean.
Now we're off to the Magic Kingdom.......
.......Stitch's Great Escape construction is moving along fast. The walls now have the attraction's logo along with newspaper headlines about Stitch escaping. The sounds behind the walls were also a nice touch. From the TTA, I saw the doors into the first pre-show were opened and the carpeting had been ripped out. There's a lot of construction going on behind those walls. The X-S Tech signs are fading, and I think in a short time they will sadly come down.
.........Snow White's Scary Adventures is currently down until Saturday according to the Times Guide. There is also a wall around it. Snow White herself was having a meet and greet in front of it yesterday.
.........."it's a small world" is also now down. No walls up yet but just a sign saying "Please pardon our pixie dust as we refurbish this area for your future enjoyment." Strollers were being parked outside the entrance area as well.
.........20K Lagoon draining is going on now. I didn't get a peek over the walls but did get some shots of the walls.
..........I got the Wishes CD finally! It's really good. If you are wondering, I found it in several locations, but I bought mine in Mickey's Star Traders. The retail price is $12.98.
.........Splash Mountain looked great yesterday, better than it has been in months. Everything was working properly, except for the jumping fountains in the Laughing Place. Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear were out at the exit doing a meet and greet as well.
And now for some other news......
.........Stunt show construction at the Disney MGM Studios is pretty visible from what I believe is World Drive.
.........There was an inline skating competition going on. It really messed up the traffic in AM. It took almost 30 minutes to get to Epcot from the All-Star Music by bus at 8:15 in the morning.
That's all I've got for now! Pictures will be up soon.
