Nemo's 10/22 MGM and MK Update -- SGE and more!

Just returned from a great day at the parks. Took on MGM in the morning, lunch at Beaches and Cream, and then went over to MK which is where I was until the 6pm closing. After that it was off to Downtown Disney and I caught the 8:10 showing of Surviving Christmas (good movie BTW). Tomorrow is MK again (so I can get on SGE) and Epcot, so be on the lookout for an update tomorrow night or Sunday. Let's get started with today's photo update, shall we?

I will now take you to the Disney MGM Studios.....

Some walls up around the ticket booths.

Banners (or whatever they're called) advertising The Incredibles are now around the Playhouse Disney/Magic of Disney Animation/Voyage of the Little Mermaid area.

The Magic of Disney Animation has reopened from refurbishment, but there are still walls up in the area.

JoJo's Circus advertisement (this is where the HM set tour sign used to be).

FP is no more at Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It!

Osborn Lights construction blocked off access to the area where the entrance to LMA will be....but as seen in this photo, they've added a new little sign under the main one. Seems like a cheap advertising plot to me.... :lol:

SGE UPDATE

Alright folks....the planters are down and everything is visible. I saw at least 8-9 Imagineers out in the area today. Sat near The Timekeeper for almost two hours (only going on the TTA twice and one showing of CoP during that time) because it looked like it would open any time. They were running it all day from what I could see because the doors would open automatically every 4 or 5 minutes. Went into Merchants of Venus and heard some drilling going on behind the walls, so they must not be fully done with that chamber yet. Hopefully they'll get it open sometime tomorrow.

I was at the MK and DAK this afternoon......parks seemed very busy for this time of year.

You were not by chance wearing a Orange shirt....were you?

Those pictures really make me sad (especially the 3rd one in the SGE set. My gosh that looks so familiar), but at least it looks good. The 1st preshow room looks nice, from what we can see. And I really like the way they set up the outside (queue and fastpass). I wonder, though, how long the queue really is? If this thing gets the type of waits AE got during it's first few years (which it should have no trouble reaching those heights), where will all those in the standby go? Maybe there is more to the queue than you can tell from the pics.

The queue goes all the way around the side of the building, you can see it from the TTA. Looks like it is pretty long...

I want the new stitch shirt! I bought the other one with him riding the rides back in July, now I wish I'd waited cause I like this better.

I can't wait to ride SGE. Hopefully I'll catch a preview or soft opening on my upcoming trip. (I miss opening by a day! :fork: )

Hopefully the crowds will die down soon, like before my vacation.

No, I wasn't....I was sporting a red, white, and blue Sean John shirt and a Red Sox hat.

By the way, I saw three other guys sitting outside SGE for quite a while....was anyone else there yesterday?

Crowds were unusually large for a weekday at MK. MGM wasn't too bad.....I waited 15 for Tower and 10 for Star Tours. I can't really say how the lines were at the other side of the MK because I was in Tomorrowland until 5pm, and when I got to Frontierland I was able to walk on Splash and Thunder.

My best guess would be the automated ticket windows, but that's just a guess. Could just be random re-painting, etc.

I've got one question about all those images. Why does it have under the stunt show something about Paris? I know it's the show that DLP has, but why do we need to know that here. Make it seem likes its a WDW original for those that don't often. Those are excellent pics by the way, and with all the waiting there they didn't let you see it? It looks very cool, can't wait to go on it in December. Thanks for the update!

I have the same question as scotty boy. why is there something about paris on that action stunt show.

I love that shirt. I love the design but the tie die thing i dont like. im gonna have to see if they have it in like a plain white when im there in december.
