They could! I've heard speculation that there might not be soft openings because of the nature of the ride. The state (DOSH) has to approve the ride first and it's not your standard dark ride with no safety issues.
Annual pass holders can win chances to ride June 6th and 7th. So there might be soft openings around then.

I entered the contest! I checked off all the time slots for both days. Here's hoping I get a time slot after 12:30 because I forgot those are the days I have finals (this is assuming I actually win).
I don't think there's going to be "regular people" soft openings because of the nature of the ride...I don't DL wants to deal with the gigantic crowds until the 11th.
