Just a quick note..

The CMs who work at Epcot have been informed that they're getting a preview of the Seas with Nemo and Friends on the 11th of October from 9am to 9pm, and they can bring guests. Time to schmooze your favorite Test Track CM ;)

To recount, this places the following preview dates:

Oct 11: Epcot Cast
Oct 12: WDW Cast
Oct 13-15: AP and DVC

This still coincides with the rumored schedule that operations gets the attraction on October 9th. So, don't expect to be riding it anytime prior to that.

On a note for anyone going after the previews hoping for it to open, the internal grand opening date now floating around is October 31st.

Any chance cast previews would continue into the two days with APs and DVC? Has this ever happened?

Not that i'm aware of, though they have scheduled the previews for various parts of the same day before, for example Epcot cast was previewing a ride fromlike 9-12 while WDW Cast 12-3 then AP's and DVC did like 3-9 or something. But that's for a really minor opening.

Those sorts of things they tend to mix and mingle everyone.

A distinct note: CMs are not allowed to wear their costumes for these previews. Maybe they'll let guests ride if the lines get really low. When the new Journey into Imagination preview opened, Epcot CMs were the only ones riding it - in costume (as allowed) - and they started letting day guests wander in because the lines were pretty short at times. They also cut it off randomly though.

So, no promises, don't get your hopes up, but they are telling CMs not to wear costumes, meaning they might be seen by guests.

Interesting... thanks for the insight.

I was also asking because I was wondering if the crowds the 13-15 would be that much worse with CMs being allowed to ride with APers and DVC members. And all you have to do is present your pass to get to ride right?

Do you anticipate a "soft opening" for this thing before Oct. 31?? Between the previews and the time of the official opening??

No announcements to that accord have been made yet.

would you expect an announcement about a soft opening -- do they typically announce that?

don't they typically have soft openings for new attractions???

i'm just being optimistic/hopeful! :) i'll be there from 10/21-10/27

If it was like everest... they let CM's from other parks in the Animal Kingdom preview. I dont know if they actually have a way of figuring out if your an employee at certain place. If they do they didnt care during the Everest Preview
