I'm looking for videos of Horizons and JII Original that I could burn onto a DVD. My DVD Burner can't burn Real Video, so I would like them in a Windows Media Video Format. I've gave up on the Mirc Network as I recently learned that it costs money to register. I'm also intrested in Carousel Of Progress videos.

Tahu, what program are you using that allows burning DVD's from WMV?

My main problem is my videos are recorded at an exremely high volume for some reason. I've been able to reduce the volume and trim the videos using Windows Movie Maker, but my burner doesn't support WMV. (Sonic My DVD). My DVD won't let me reduce the volume of recorded videos, and that's my biggest concern. They sound muffled due to the high volume. Movie Maker is the only program I currently have that allows reducing the volume to acceptable levels.

I've looked over the web to try and find a converter program, but maybe a new burner program is what I need.

If anybody knows of a a good burner program for burning DVD's from WMA, or a converter program the will allow conversion of a WMV to either MPEG or MPEG-2, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks.

I also use Sonic My DVD, but it doesn't seem to work with WMV files made on windows movie maker, but downloads work just fine.

Old Epcot vids

Tahu - you only have to make a one off purchase for something like mIRC - using it and accessing Disney Central is free (and they have all the videos you are after, plus tons more!) Well worth it!

mikebrakes - I use TMPGEnc to convert WMV perfectly to MPEG. Look at http://www.tmpgenc.net/
Its free for MPEG1 and 30 days free trial of the MPEG2 conversion. I use NERO to burn the converted files to VCD no problem.

I am using the latest Mirc past the 'free' period. You just have to click the X to close the 'nag' window and it works fine without any further nagging (until you close it down and re-open again).

You can easily convert the divx avi's from the IRC channel to mpg using TMPGEnc.. I think Nero 6 Ultra burning program also has a conversion program built in and I am pretty sure it can convert wmv's onto DVD as well (when I installed Nero 6 it asked if I wanted to install some files necessary for that conversion).
