Greetings,

Our family will be making a trip to Universal Studio Orlando and was wondering if someone who's been there or is familiar with the IOA/USF Parks would be kind enough to list the recommended rides and the shows in each of the Parks?

My girls are 13 & 11 and we'd like to know which rides or shows can be skipped over the better, more fun rides and shows at those Parks for our daughters. I realize because of the height restrictions, they won't be able to ride some of the rides, but would be nice if we could know in advance which rides should have priority over the others. Thank you for your time and courtesy!

I thank you two very much for your replies. It will be a great and handy list for us when we're planning our visit to the Parks. I'll be sure to take a print out of your replies when we leave for our trip. Thanks again!!

I would skip Poseidon, but the rest are fine. I'm in decent shape, not great but decent, so I'm not complaining about standing for 80 minutes because I'm overweight. That's right, 80 minutes....for that....
I'll break it down. About 15 minutes wait outside, at least 40 inside with no idea for first time riders when it will end. You have no line of sight to the entrance inside so it's just a series of blind corners, not knowing if you are about to walk into the show or lean against a rail for another 10 minutes until the line moves again. By the time we got there I was in no mood for the show we got or for standing the entire show crammed between the railings with other irritated people .

I'm really an upbeat guy, it might have just been a lousy day. Universal employees never help my mood much either.

Sinbad was suprisingly good though.

Start your day off at IOA. Get there early and do the marvel rides (Hulk, Dr. Doom, Spiderman) Little or no wait. Continue through the park by going through Toon Lagoon, JP, LC, and Suess. Skip the Sinbad Show, Camp Jurassic, everything in Suess Landing except for the Cat in the Hat (I'm 15 and I love it.). Get a 2 park Meal Deal for unlimited food, deserts, and drink refils (Meal Deal cup required) all day at select restaurants. Your Adventure/Studio Guide will tell you which restaurants are included. Head over to Universal Studios. The waits should be all about the same by this time of the day. I only suggest skipping Jimmy Neutron (very childish) ,Shrek 4D (Its on DVD.), and fear factor Live (Its just not entertaining at all.). Of course if you have the time, try and squeeze them into your day. Beetlejuice is a very enjoyable show, so is the Horror Make-Up show. If possible save Jaws for when its dark outside for the best experience.

Have a great time.

Shrek 3D, Men in Black, all the ones people mentioned above really.

If you like big rides, then Hulk is your best bet, my dad and brother said it was awesome.

Oh and Spiderman is apparently good, i had my eyes shut the whole time, i hated it lol.

I have to say i loved Poseidon! I've never seen anything like it before!

My must sees are Spiderman, the Hulk and if you don't mind getting wet (and by that I mean drowned!) I thought Popeye was hilarious, and the same for Dudley Dooo Rights Ripsaw Falls! I have never laughed so much (or been so wet!) in all my life! My mum said that we would have been drier if we had swum the course behind the raft!

As for Universal, I really like Shrek 3D, Men in Black and I always loved Back to the Future (bad Universal boss people for closing that down!:fork:) The Mummy is a really good ride too and always manages to frighten the life out of me!

Have a really fab trip!

80 minutes for Poseidon you must have been there when the park was busier than ever

Mid January. Mind you, that was 80 min including the attraction. I count those minutes since I'm just as upset never to get them back.

This is how crowded it was...

Almost everyone starts at IOA and makes their way to Universal after. That's why I always start at Universal then hop over to IOA.

If the original poster reads this, be sure you're a hardcore coaster enthusiast before getting on The Hulk. I've been to parks all over and it's easily one of the most intense coasters I've ever been on. Fun if you love constant inversions and speed, but it's rough and unrelenting. Just a head's up.
