Need resort advise! :)

Today is the last day of my honeymoon trip and we are already trying to plan our next trip. We are looking to go every year (or every other yr depending on finances) in sept to sort of remember our honeymoon and celebrate our anniversary. The only thing I seem to be 100% sure of is that I want to go a week earlier around the 15th. We were excited this time to try the F&W festival but it's not something I need to do again. We did the MNSSHP and had a blast, so we hope to continue doing the party. Now where I need help is choosing a resort. We stayed at an all star resort this time cuz our thinking was choose the cheap one cuz we wouldn't be in the room often. I would like to "move up" resort wise next time. I hear plenty of good things about port Orleans but I can't decide if we should stay at FQ or riverside? Is one more adult oriented than the other? Or are both aimed towards families with small children like the all star resorts? Help!! :)

Sounds like Coronado springs would be right up your alley at this point. That is BK. Before kids. For a moderate it is, i think, most couple oriented.

Congratulations first of all on your marriage. :)

You can't go wrong with either Port Orleans Riverside (POR) or Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ). There are people on these boards very passionate about both and I'm sure you'll hear from them. My vote, however, is for our favourite moderate, Coronado Springs Resort. :)

We very much enjoyed our stays at POR, but for us, we find the grounds at most beautiful at Coronado, and, as a convention hotel, a more adult oriented atmosphere. There are hammocks on a small white sand beach, beautiful landscaping throughout, a fitness center, Rix lounge, a wonderful food court and a decent restaurant. I know you'll have a wonderful time in whichever resort you choose, but check out photos, etc. online about Coronado before making your final decision. Enjoy!

To be honest all the moderates are pretty nice and you'd be pretty happy with any especially after all stars. Coronado and the Caribbean are my favorites.

I think POFQ or Coronado Springs are the more adult-oriented moderate resorts. I think Coronado Springs has the best amenities of all the mods so that would be my personal choice between the two. POR is my favorite mod, but I do think it is more kid-oriented than the other two.

Coronado Springs Resort or POFQ are our favorite moderates. Sometimes renting points will allow you to stay in a Deluxe at the price of a moderate too.

Coronado Springs or Port Orleans Riverside are always my first two choices, depending on the flavor of your trip. PO Is much more southern and cooler in flavor with a lot of trees, flowers etc. Coronado is a much "Warmer" resort, more low lying plants and not as much shade. Coronado is a convention center and does have a few upgrades to the Food court, lounge area and rooms that arent at your typical Moderate. I think you honestly would be happy at either one. Marie

All of the Disney hotel are going to have families with kids. Both of the PO resorts are good. They are set up a lot like the All-Stars, though, motel-style, not hotel. They are less garish and have slightly bigger rooms. POR has the better food court.

If you go offsite, you will get a better hotel for your money, no matter what the price range.

I love Coronado as well. We had a chance to stay one night prior to our cruise last year.
As far as the other moderates, we have only stayed at the Carribbean resort, we both do not like it.

I have enjoyed all the moderate resort before and after kids. In my opinion, I agree with the previous posts of Coronado Springs and French Quarter. Although I would not rule out Riverside or Caribbean Beach just because you don't have kids. Each resort has couple and family qualities. CS is more quiet during the day because of the conventions but adults come out of the wood work in the evening. Plus has queen size beds instead of doubles, when you need them. FQ is not as spread out and I love the theming plus the boat to Downtown Disney erh, Disney Springs. RS also shares the boat to DS and has some very nice secluded spots on property. CB holds a special place since it is where we got engaged. It has a night time vibe that we enjoyed before the kiddos! Congrats!
