Need Ideas!!!

I am sending my mom and dad to WDW in December 2012, and my mom has absolutely NO IDEA that she's going. (So please keep this on the DL. ;) )

Anyway, onto the whole point of this post..

My dad wants to do something really special for my mom since it's just going to be the 2 of them when they go. It's a kind of trip where they need to re-spark their relationship, (we've been having some difficulties this past year, and they really need this trip.) I suggested doing a dinner, just the two of them, at someplace like Brown Derby in DHS, but my dad wants to do something that will really WOW her.

I was just wondering if you guys can give me some ideas for this special occasion.

Thanks~!

If you don't mind, I think I'll take that idea, but tweak it a little bit. I'm gonna go with the dinner and Wishes on the Beach, but I'm going to suggest a walk along the beach or something, and them coming to their hotel room to a bouquet of roses. I think that'll do the trick.

I always love dinner at California Grill. Book it for 1 hour before Wishes. It's SO romantic.

A horse and carriage ride and Ft. Wilderness.

A special "love package" delivered to their room from Disney Florists?

Depending on the financial situation, you can always call up the Disney Signature folks and see what kind of dreams they can make come true.

Another small suggestion - Call it a "2nd honeymoon". Tell the resort and all of the restaurants it's their honeymoon, have them wear the honeymoon pins. I'm sure they'll get a lot of attention and special touches.

you can always contact disney and disney florist directly. They have some great tips and gifts that you can have arranged to be in the room or even a surprise at dinner (bottle of wine/special dessert) arranged ahead of time :). You can always call to and have them put a note on their reservation, usually the cast members and mousekeepers see these and do little things to make a a magic moment! hope they have a great trip!

Wow,Thats a great thing your doing, theres so many magical moments at WDW that can make memories last forever, let me think for a moment,i feel like Tom Hanks in "Youve Got Mail",sniff, sniff,ok here we go,yes a romantic meal is a must but where do you go,i agree with other blogs,Contempory is awesome, but dont overlook Bomas at A/K.The ambience is sooo romantic for a quiet meal for two,as far as the other suggestions youve had so far, well you will know what will appeal to Mum and Dad.Mmmm,i remember a single red rose on a table, and a meal of scallops and stornoway black pudding, followed by loch fyne oysters,on top of a bed of lobster fillet with champange mousse, with a bottle of Griffith park bubbly done the trick for me.

Are you looking for super romantic kinds of things, or are they a fun couple that would like to do some other things that aren't so romantic and mushy. There are a lot of things to do if they just want to be together and have a great time while there.
