Need Help With Post Vacation Depression

I've yet to have a proper WDW trip. My first time was in 2002 and to be honest I remember nothing from that trip. Second time was 2013 and that was with my high school band. We stayed at All Star Music, but were on a set schedule and only had two days to do all the parks. Third time was last year around New Years and was with my College marching band because my school had a Football bowl game in Orlando and we only had 9hours in the MK. Just thinking about it gives me post Disney depression :/.

My last trip was March of 2014 and I still have post-vacation depression! ;) We did stay in Kissimmee for a week after our 4 days at WDW, but it just wasn't the same-a whole week knowing that WDW was 10 minutes away was like torture. I have become such a WDW junkie since then, too, which doesn't help. We are hoping to return next spring, and I'm sure my family will be ready to kill me while we are walking around the parks with all the WDW knowledge I'll be spouting LOL.

As I type this I'm walking from my room at the Coronado to have breakfast and check out.
It's silly how sad I get when leaving WDW.
I found this website a year after my last vacation.
My son told me he loved the vacation because of the memories and because we spent 24/7 as a family.
Really sad!
Start planning your next trip and in meantime watch Disney VLOGS on YouTube! In fact we have one we post weekly right here! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaMe8VVPObwA8VN7eySQeJw

Maybe Butch will do better this season? It's been looking up? We did win a bowl!

Youtube, 8tracks.com, d-cot.com and Disney Hipster Blog are great ways to get over that sad feeling, tons of playlists and options. Throw those headphones on and pretend you're strolling around the park eating a Mickey ice cream bar even if your only sitting at your desk.

I cry when I get there, I cry when I leave... every single time! I even cry at some of the parades.
For me, the end of vacation is like the magic dying out of the pumpkin scene in Cinderella. You go home and all the magic slowly gets put away or blends in with all the "normal" life that's wrapped around it - consuming it like the life-draining monster it is. And you have to tell yourself things like "if it were Christmas every day I wouldn't appreciate it, blah, blah..."
Like Nonna, I like to use my left over excitement to dream about my next trip. I get to research resorts and restaurants I haven't been to, and come to the forum and be the one to answer questions instead of asking them for a change, etc.
I, too, am a puddle when I first catch a glimpse of anything Disney on our way in.... I have been known to shed more than a tear or two when Mickey hugs me! In fact I have a lump in my throat now just thinking about WDW. It is so tied up with my 1950s childhood. Walt with his stinky cigarette came into my house every Sunday night and my very first "date" with my dad was Cinderella! How I miss both of them! (My dad and Walt! Lol). My credit card even has Tink on it! Ohhh, you just took me down memory lane!

Every time I leave I have to tell myself that, as much as I hate leaving, I'd get bored if I stayed. There's only so much to do and see and buy. You have to give the parks time to re-generate and re-stock so that when you come back there's something new and exciting. Worst case scenario is that you get bored of WDW and fall "out of love" with it.

Plus, for me, I think I have as much fun planning the trips as I do actually being there. And, I'm not exaggerating about that. I almost get a little depression when I leave for a trip because it means all of the planning is done. And, while I'm on trips, I start planning the next one. I LOVE the planning part. So, there is always that to look forward to. And, even if you don't go back for a little while, that entire time you could be researching and planning.

And, for the really tough days, I turn on youtube tracks of the park music in my office so at least I can feel like I'm there ;)
