Need help with getting to an early ADR

Soo, we made a reservation for Trail's End Buffet, 8AM 5/28/10. We are staying at CBR, and I'm starting to think it is going to be too early to catch a bus anywhere (MK, Epcot, DTD, etc) in order to catch a different but to Ft. Wilderness. Has anyone ever achieved this? Should I see if I can move it to 9AM? I'd rather get there early and spend the rest of the day at MK or Epcot. Cheers!

It's always at the times that you want it to go quickly that the bus transportation will be really late. If buses to the Magic Kingdom start running at seven, you may not be able to guarantee that you'll be able to get there, transfer and get to Fort Wilderness in under an hour. If you like the idea of the 0800 dining reservation, you may want to consider hiring a cab to take you to Fort Wilderness that morning. I don't know exactly the distance from Caribbean Beach to Fort Wilderness, but one-way fares are pretty reasonable around the World.

Take a cab. Do not even attempt the transfers and such, the $11 the cab will cost is more then worth it. Not having to deal with the stress of getting to the reservation is priceless in my opinion, and if I had to put a price on it $11 would be fair.

Bus to MK and boat to FW.

Buses normally start at 7AM, but check with the front desk about it. There may be a breakfast bus that'll take you to FW.

Hmm I'll have to ask about the breakfast bus, that'd be super clutch. Otherwise, would you just set up a taxi at the front desk? Any experience on what kind of advance notice the cab company needs? Thanks!

The problem with a taxi is that it leaves you near the front of the campground, you would still need to take an internal campground bus to get to Trails End.

I would echo the bus to MK and boat to FW, Trails End is just up the boat ramp to the right.

Hmm maybe I'll see if I can move the ADR to 8:45 and if we get there early we can always walk around for a bit.

I don't think you will have a problem even if you arrive a few minutes late on an 8 am ADR.
Early bus to MK; then boat to FW.
If you are on the bus at 7 am you should make it OK.
