Hello, we have been to WDW 7 times, always the last week of January. We have stayed at AKL, Contemporary and most recently POFQ. Loved POFQ and wanted to stay there this trip however, in order to get free dining, our only option is Coronado Springs and we will be staying there Oct. 30-Nov 10. Anyone have any tips or opinions on the biggest differences between January and Oct/Nov?
Also any major resort differences?
We always rent a car so transportation is not an issue. Thanks!

I would say the most obvious difference you will notice right away is the warmer weather.
While January tends to be quite cool, October will be pleasantly warm.
The first couple of weeks of October may be a tad warmer then the latter half of the month.

If you arrive anytime in October, you will be able to enjoy the wonderful Halloween/Autumn decorations. You can also partake in the much celebrated 'Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party' which i highly recommend. It is a additional cost to attend, but well worth it for atmosphere, special entertainment, and all the free candy treats you can fill your bags with !

If you arrive in November, you will likely get to see the beautiful Christmas/Winter decorations. There is also a Christmas Party event held a couple of nights a week ( Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ) which is also well worth experiencing.

As far as your Resort hotel goes, Coronado Springs will seem somewhat similar to POFQ, but at the same time difference. I would say the two main differences are the layout of the properties/room buildings and the overall themes. Coronado Springs is popular with convention groups so do not be surprised if you encounter large groups of people gathered around the convention facilities there.

Hope you have a great visit !

@Figments Friend is absolutely correct. The crowds are a bit more during your time frame (we will be there close to the same dates) but very manageable. Plus, Food and Wine (our fav) will be going on at Epcot, along with MNSSHP at MK. The weather is definately a tad warmer, but nights are usually very pleasant. Fall, is our fav time of year to visit. During the week its not really busy at all. Weekends do tend to be more busy due to F&W and MNSSHP, but we normally visit either AK or DHS or the water parks on weekends.
