First , let me say Hi. I am new to this board, though I have been lurking for months! There seem to be some CR fans here, so I thought I would ask. We are leaving for WDW on 4/14/02:sohappy: and right now I have requested a MK view. There are only going to be fireworks at MK one night we are there and we will probably go to MK to see them that night. Should I change my request to a lake view room? Thanks to anyone who can give me an opinion!:D :D

Both views are great!

Only problem(minor, nothing big) I have with the MK view is that the Parking lot is right in front of you, might take away some of the magic.

The Bay Lake view is really the pool, the whole resort, and Bay Lake.

Whatever view you get, you can always head to the top of the Contemporary to see what your missing on the other side.

And I have to say.............choosing the Contemporary Tower is a wise choice...........you'll absolutely love it!!!

Have a great time!

I would go with MK view...you see the MK first thing in the morning and last thing at night, what better way to feel like you're really at Disney! :D

definitely MK view. That's what you're there for! The bay lake view is good, but you can always see water and trees. If you really want to see it, go to the Grand Canuon Concourse (4th floor) and have a seat at the Outer Rim, you can just kind of relax and look out over the water.

I would go with the MK view because you look out your window and there is MK and you really feel like you are at WDW and not at a hotel somewhere else. How often do you look out your window and see a castle in the backround.

Do the MK view.

Don't let the parking issue mess with your mind.

The first level of rooms in the tower doesn't start untill about the 5th floor, so even if you are low in the tower, your view will be of the 7 Seas Lagoon and the MK. I believe you will also see the water pagent (floats with lights, hauled through the lake) because it starts tween the MK and GF and goes past the CR to Bay Lake.

Have fun!
My wife and I stayed there last May and it was wonderful.

Just Got Back

We just got home. The CR was fabulous and the MKview was priceless!! We watched the fireworks from our room twice and once from MK itself after a quick walk over there after dinner.

last time we went, we had the bay lake view and it was pretty nice. We had to walk to the end of the hall and watch the fireworks from the outside balcony, but it was well worth it!!!

if you want to see pictures, go here:

http://www.wiu.edu/users/mdd100/disney/contemporary.htm

at night, with the bay lake view, you get this goofy little light show out back on the lake. its preety neat, hokey, but neat!

anyway, ive never had a mk view, but from the bay lake view you can see (i think) downtown disney, and you can see epcot in the distance out to the right. its pretty cool

anyway, check out my page above to see the pics i took from our room and from the balcony of the mk.

(I assume bay lake is facing the pools out back and the other wings of the building?!):veryconfu

good luck, have fun!!!!!!!!!!:sohappy: :sohappy:
