Need Help Booking Hotel...optimal

Hey all, it's been a while since I've been on here for various reasons...anywho, I need help booking a trip.

Me, my mum, and my sister have signed up to do the half-marathon on the weekend of January 8th (IIRC), and we will be arriving Friday afternoon or Thursday night and leaving Sunday afternoon...we're planning to spend 2 days in the parks, and I'm wondering what would be the best deal we could come up with for our stay. My mum called the hotline and was told all the value resorts were sold out for the weekend, but I'm sure that you guys can help us find something affordable without having to stay at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista (sorry, just like themed resorts better).

Thanks!

It looks like your lowest cost on property option will be Caribbean Beach in a Pirate themed room for around $530 for the room only. Feel free to send me a PM if you would like to use Kingdom Konsultants to book this for you.

I just ran your info on the Disney site. If you arrived one day earlier, ie on Wednesday, there is a preferred room available at All Star Movies. Also, if you alter your days by one day each way on both ends, ie, come in on Wednesday and leave on Monday, standard rooms become available at the All Star Movies and Music Resorts. If you came in on Thursday and left on Monday, there is a preferred room at All STar Movies and a standard room at All Star Sports.

Hmm, I think our family's travel agent has us a room, but I really don't see the need for a travel agent when we have things like Kingdom Konsultants (although, travel agents have connections), I'll consult my parents when they get home.

The All Star resorts look great, though...I'll have to see.

I would strongly recommend staying on property if at all possible. The transportation alone is helpful. Otherwise would need to have a rental car, AND get yourself up and to the races/expo for registration. It is so much easier to just hop on a bus. Admittedly you then end up waiting around at the Start, but the road closures force you to get there early anyway.
