H1 all -

I am taking my son for the first time to WDW at the end of June this year. :hammer: He will be 14 months. I know this may be a little young but my wife will be in town for a business conference and I thought I would take advantage of the situation and head over to the 'world' after her conference.

Can anyone give me suggestions or schedules or experiences? We plan on spending 2 days maybe 3 - 1 at MK and 1 at EPCOT ?? We will either stay on site at one of the moderate resorts or at the Hilton in DTD. Any preferences in the 2 accomodations?

What would be a good schedule for a day in the parks? I would imagine at that age he would still require an afternoon nap as well as his baby food/bottle for bfast, lunch, and dinner. Along the same lines, where do you change baby diapers?

I have been going to WDW all my life and I thought I knew everything until we had our baby!

I appreciate your help!

I've always found that schedules and babies (on vacation, anyway) were mutually exclusive! Be flexible; start out in the park you and your wife want to see first (it's all going to look pretty much the same to your little guy), and roll with the flow from there. Make sure you've got lots of water for him, keep him out of the sun as much as you can, and put sunscreen on him - especially his feet! I've seen more sunburned toes in WDW than I care to remember. I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, restrooms for men and women have baby-changing facilities. If your son will nap in your own stroller, I'd bring it along rather than rent one. I'd definitely DRIVE to the parks, as opposed to taking a resort bus, so that you can make a hasty exit when your little one has had enough. Remember that the characters are huge, and can be very scary to a child, so don't be disappointed if he's afraid of them. WDW can be overwhelming to adults, so imagine how it seems to a child! Easier said than done, but a relaxed pace is best - attempting a frantic pace is pointless. Take it slower than you would have in the past (pre-child), take lots of pictures, and have fun!:)

:) One more thing-- All of the parks have Baby Centers where you can relax for a while, change your baby, get food, diapers and etc. if you run out-- They are on the maps, but you probably have not noticed them pre infant Ha Ha--- Have fun-!!

You can also do the baby swap at most of the larger rides-- one of you goes on, then the other meets you at the exit and takes the baby-- no waiting in line twice!! It really helps if you NEED :D to go on TOT and etc-- AND like they said pictures-- and Video of course!! Relax and Enjoy!!

:D Whoops--forgot to answer your hotel ? Definately (sp) stay on site if possible. Does not seem Disney, at least to me, if you are not staying on property. Much easier----:D

I am taking my daughter there in December, and she will be 15 months by then. I still don't know what I am going to do, as we will spend 15 days there! But I have heard of the baby care centers and they seem like paradise to me! I had never cared to take a look at them, don't even know where they are (I was not a mother yet... ). But I think taking a troller is a must, as if your baby gets sleepy he can rest in his own stroller and you can go on with the fun! I don't know how your boy is, but my girl sleeps in her own stroller anywhere, and doesn't complain at all!!!

I hope she likes the characters! I used to be really afraid of them when I was a little girl, and don't want my daughter to feel the same way... My cousins have pictures with Santa, and some characters (brazilian ones, of course, I only went to WDW when I was 19), and I don't have any...

Well, let's keep in touch! I am looking forward for your trip report, hope you give me some tips!:)
