Hi guys,
we are travelling to Wdw (and to the US!) for the first time in about a month. I need to know some basic things such as where to find a supermarket or if there will be a kettle in our room. We ( husband and three little kids) are staying at a suite at art of animation and we have the disney dining plan.i have already made reservations for table restaurantes for every dinner and are plannin on quick service for Lunch. The question is...what do we do with breakfast? are we allowed to bring food into the Parks? Will there be snacks(also included in the plan) to be eaten for breakfast??
Thanks for Reading!

I like Zephyrhills... when it's on sale :p

Dasani is disgusting though.

Yeah, I'm not going to pay $2-$3 for a bottle of filtered tap water from New Jersey that they've added back the minerals. I can get the same - and much better tasting - for free by filtering my tap water through my Zero Water pitcher. But it's a Coke product, so it's EVERYWHERE.

In parks - Mickey Ice Cream, Dole Whips (MK only), the cinnamon rolls at Gaston's in MK, the fresh caramel corn in Big Top in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom, the caramel in Germany in WS in EPCOT, along with France, Morocco, Italy. Heck, just taste test your way through most of WS. However, unless you really want to do something American, avoid the massive turkey leg - I believe you can purchase one at both America and somewhere in the Magic Kingdom. If you want a huge, grisly dried out turkey leg, go for it. Otherwise, RUN.

You can get just about every snack made with sugar and fat anywhere in Walt Disney World. But if you want something more healthy, the farmer's market in Hollywood Studios near Tower of Terror has fruit. And there are several shops in Disney Springs that have nice healthy snacks. And there's a cupcake shop in Disney Springs. Enter only if you don't mind gaining 10 pounds from the smell of the shop.

We always bring in snacks like protein/cereal/granola bars. That way I don't go crazy and eat an entire bag of caramel popcorn by myself. Trust me, Disney is snack food paradise. Be warned. And every park, including Disney Springs, now has a Starbucks.

In Magic Kingdom, I would totally go to Gaston's and get a cinnamon roll. You can share that with a few people. They are huge and 1 is a snack credit. There are also delicious Belgian waffles at Sleepy Hollow Treats in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. A waffle with cinnamon or powdered sugar is also a snack credit. Definitely can be shared with a small child. It is also nice to eat at the picnic tables there. Sometimes I will go to Gaston's with 1 kid to get a cinnamon roll and meet the rest of the family at Sleepy Hollow where they ordered the waffles. It is nice and quiet there in the morning when the park opens.

Oh, yes. Yes, yes, yes. Tasty waffle and right up next to Cinderella Castle? Yeah. Speaking of Sleepy Hollow waffles....

Wow thanks it all sounds and looks delicious!
Given that this is our first time and maybe only time in WDW and maybe the US as well i think we are allowed to skip the healthy snacks and go straight to the fatty sugary kind!

The DDP will provide you with lots of food! I'd suggest bringing/buying some simple, light things for breakfast that you can eat right in the room (e.g., we bring granola bars or Pop Tarts or dry cereal - with disposable picnicware - right in our carryon luggage, and prepare it in the hotel room, buying milk at the resort's gifts-and-sundries shop, if needed.) You can also save your daily "snack" credits for breakfast things (e.g., bagels, muffins).

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
I would recommend the Target in Kissimmee as it is very close to WDW and especially close to AK resorts. The store is very clean, stocked with a good variety of groceries and part of our first day routine now.

The dining plan is a lot of food. I know personally with all that food there is no way I could eat breakfast. It would be like you were just spending all day eating. If I were you I would just eat lunch on the early side like about 11:00 and not eat breakfast, then you might have time to be hungry again by the time the reservations come up for dinner.

You'll need to be up a bit earlier to be at the front of the line
