Neat Skyway to Tomorrowland Video

I just found this video of the old Skyway to Tomorrowland Video. It says it was made in 1998. It even has the infamous pink castle in it. Kinda fun to watch.

I can see it's over speedway, but I just can't picture where it would be

I wondered where it was/is myself. We never rode the Skyway, so I can't say anything about the location, but I plan to see if there are any remains when are down in May.

I think it was in the open grassy area inside if the last curve as you would come back into the pits....

No actually its between the last curve before you go back to the pits and the curve that goes near the toontown to tomorrowland walkway.
I had it wrong in the last post.

Wow! I forgot how much area 20K covered. I really wish they never took out Skyway I used to love this ride the last time I rode either of these was in 92'.

That can't be 1998 if the castle is still pink....That would be 96-97 ish.

It took some time to repaint it the original colors. We had wedding pictures done in front of the castle in April '98 and there were some areas the photographer had to work around.

I don't think 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was operational then. They just haven't done anything with it yet at that point. My first trip was in '95 and I think it was already closed even then. I'm not sure if Mr. Toads Wild Ride closed yet but I do miss it!! I loved that ride!!!

Ok this could be a dumb question but why did they get rid of the Skyway? I always hear different stories but I never know what is true. Sorry if this is a dumb question or has been asked a lot on here but I guess you could say I'm sort of the new guy here and don't know much. :veryconfu haha
