Does the Dream show live broadcastings of sporting events? If so where is the best place to watch? I'm a die hard San Antonio Spurs fan and it looks like they will be in the finals which happens during our cruise.

They do! One of my son's best cruise memories is watching the NBA finals from a hot tub on the Disney Magic every night after dinner.

Since the NBA Finals are broadcast on ABC, and the Disney Company owns ABC (and ESPN), most "big" sports events that are carried on ABC are also shown on DCL. One of my favorite cruise memories is jamming into Diversions on the Magic to watch the World Cup games during our 2010 Baltic cruise. Just an amazing atmosphere.
Since you'll be on the Dream, the best public area to view the games will be in 687 (the sports bar in The District). You can also probably see it in your stateroom, if you prefer not to sit with people who are rooting for the Heat
