National Treasures at American Adventure?

Hey guys, i need a little verification here.

At the American Adventure, there's a side exhibit about some of our national treasures, Abe Lincoln's Hat, and a bunch of other stuff. According to One of the Disney Blogs, there's a moon rock in there and they continue to allege that this moon rock was taken back to Earth by Astronaut Gus Grissom. Problem with that is, Grissom was killed in January 1967 during a fire on the launch pad and went to the moon.

My question here: What exactly does the sign by this Moon Rock say? Anyone got a picture they can post?

While I aprreciate the publicity, what I actually said was that the moon rock was Gus Grissoms'. This was a typo, or rather a misspeak on my part, which was corrected yesterday, and with a second (more public) correction today, though the argument continues to rage in the comments section of the article. As I stated on the Main Street Gazette, the moon rock was presented to Gus Grissom, as a sign of honor, posthumously.

Again thank you for reading the site, and for sharing it with others.

In 2005, NASA announced it would present every Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo astronaut with a moon rock and the title 'Ambassador of Exploration'. The rocks, which remain the property of NASA, would then be placed in a museum or other public facility to inspire the next generation and promote the good will of the space program. For astronauts that have died, a family member is awarded the rock for placement. This website will show you where the moon rocks currently presented are on display. SO far, Florida leads with 6 of the 22 on display.
