My favorite holiday...

The standout for me are the steak fries at the Plaza in MK. Crispy and golden on the outside and with a soft interior. Plus, ordering the cheesesteak and having the juice coat them is pretty great too.

I have a hankering for standard park fries too, if they are not soggy. Happens from time to time...

I am trying to think of standout fries that are not park fries elsewhere in the World. Would love to see some recs.

The only other potato that is the best I have ever had are the au gratin ones at Flying Fish. Better than any gourmet steakhouse I have ever been too. That includes Manhattan. But they are not fries.

The QS fries at WDW e.g. Cosmic Rays, are okay I'll dip them in ketchup or BBQ sauce. There is nothing like the fires served by the street vendors in Holland however. You dip them in mayo and they are to die for. At home I'll make fries to serve them on the side with a hot turkey sandwich, nothing better than gravy fries, or with a meatball sub. Fries dipped in marinara come a close second. MY DS and DW like it when I make sweet potato fries, dusted with cinnamon and "regular" fries and serve them at the same meal, they love the sweet and salty together.

I only eat my fries with mayo or remoulade. Never got into ketchup. I used to just eat them with salt (plain.)

Disco fries are the best, but I can't do plastic cheese unless it is queso and spiced up. Disco with mozzerella and brown gravy, to dip on the side is awesome. I don't like them soggy if the gray was put on top and they sit.

Black pepper is always good, and garlic, olive oil, and parsley rocks too. I have tried truffle but honestly, unless you go to a good, good place it is the low quality stuff and very little of it. and it doesn't taste memorable.

Also, watch out for parmesan fries and you get the powdery, generic stuff. It is not appetizing.

I really liked the fries or pomme frites as they say, at Be Our Guest lunch. Seems like the Plaza fries are a fan favorite. Anyway, for me, I prefer to have my fries with ketchup, BBQ sauce or even honey mustard.

I like just ketchup or a ketchup and mayonaise mix on my fries. The best fries I've had at a Disney park are the pomme frittes at Cafe Orleans in Disneyland, lightly garlic seasoned with parmesan cheese and a roumalade sauce. Yummy

Whoah....I stayed there two years ago. Did I pass these up? Sounds amazing. Was this on the menu then. Now I am disappointed.I hit the Ale and Compass, a favorite spot, but I didn't do the Crew's Cup that time because we went straight for dinner at the Yachtsman.

No fries have ever stood out to me. I try to stay away since I work at a resturant that is know for fries. I might be a little hard on Disney fries because of potatoe patch fries at Kennywood park they are the best fries in a theme park ever!
