Nametags

I remember reading a thread about members making nametags with their username and their avatar picture so that we can identify ourselves in the parks. I was just wondering if people are doing this because I was going to make one before I leave on Saturday. Just wondering.

The thread was here. I don't know how many people did it or still are. It seemed to fizzle, partly from a bit of in-fighting about designs and partly because Steve [wdwmagic] started selling shirts and stuff that could identify fellow WDWMagicers in the parks.

A bit of in-fighting? Yeah -- and the Pope's just a tad Catholic.

That was a dog fight from the word go.

Nonetheless, I still wear a tag on a lanyard every now and then (which, by the way, I designed on my own just to keep from using any of the arguing designs.

There were issues about using copyrighted materials, etc. You can always make your own. One of our members (Uponastar) made her own with her avatar and name on it and hid it in the MK for me to find the following week on my trip! :)

Lil'Mermaid and I started making one for each trip a few years ago and we still have them...usually pinned to my backpack. I have my official WDWMagic one also as well as a shirt also.
