Can you buy custom WDW name badges like the CM's wear or do they not do that so people don't pose as staff?
I have a ton of those (mostly from MCO or Mission:Space) all done up as luggage tags for my various bags and for the kid's bags. You know you'd think they'd make a mint with those Metal name tag engraving machines that they have scattered throughout the resort. Now if they only had CM name tags in them I would think they'd be popular..This is the one I am reffering to...
The trouble with that is Disney likes to have strict control over names engraved/sewn onto their merchandise. Even programming bad or dirty words as not allowed, people can be very creative...You know you'd think they'd make a mint with those Metal name tag engraving machines that they have scattered throughout the resort. They used to sell red ones that didn't look exactly like a CM tag. Personally I think it's a terrible idea to sell them. Many parents teach their kids that if they ever get separated to find someone with that name tag and tell them you can't find your parents.
Who's tuna Tom?

He hasn't been spotted in while...from what I know (and I only go annually anymore). Last I recall seeing him was in 2010...I hope he hasn't passed on.
Surely that's not a good thing though... As much as he might love doing it and love disney like we do wanting to help and pass on knowledge that is crossing the line don't you think?

I don't know his history, so I can't say yes or no. I've heard he used to be a Cast Member, and is now retired, but I've heard other stories.
As with the doll lady at Grand Floridian (who has a very deep story), I don't fault those that wish to spend their time (and money, APs cost money) making others happy at WDW...
