Name an attraction that reminds you of a past loved one

Inspired by another thread. I know there are people who went to Disney with some family or friends. For sure if I ever passed away I know my wife (or my parents for that matter) would always know some of my favourites at the park. But what are attractions that remind you instantly of someone who passed away in your life? What attractions did they specifically love and you have that sentimental attachment to them?

For me it would be the Country Bear Jamboree. My grandparents went to WDW in 1973 with my dad who was about 28 years old and one of his friends. One aspect they loved was CBJ and my grandfather died when I was 2. So I guess this would be that attraction that I always have an emotional attachment to.

Even last year when I went to WDW with my folks and we hopped from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom and only had the chance to see some of the attractions he specifically made a point (twice) out of seeing CBJ. We did of course, he didn't have to twist my arm. So I guess in a way it reminds him of my grandpa too.

My grandfather's favorite attraction at WDW was the Diamond Horseshoe show. He was the bald guy in the audience who got kissed on the top of the head the first time he saw it, and after that, he was hooked. He thought the whole show was hilarious.

My ex fiance's favorite ride was and probably still is, the Haunted Mansion. Whenever I see anything that has to do with the HM, I think of him.

If you had wings always reminds me of my Father. He loved that ride for several reasons. He worked for an airline and always liked to tell us about different planes, etc.

He also liked it because it was the kind of attraction where you could kind of take a break. (Sort of like the peoplemover).

It was also free.:lol:

When my wife is pregnant the dinosaur ride reminds me of her. Like the dinosaur, she is eating everything in sight:ROFLOL:

My first visit as a child with my dad in 1978 so MK attractions hold several cherish memories. HM as we looked in the mirror and saw a ghost setting between us. CP as that is the attraction he talked most about when we returned. IASW and Pirates as we rode in a boat in aw. Dad passed away in 2005 so I really cherish those attractions everytime I return.

Notable mention is the gun shoot gallary as we droped quarters trying to shoot the piano player.

My mom passed away in March 2009 and her favorite rides were:

MK= Space Mountain
Epcot= Soarin' (Mission Space was a close second)
DHS= tie between TOT and RnRC
AK= EE
*yes she loved coasters and thrill rides.

She also loved Philharmagic and Fantasmic oh, and having a margarita in Mexico (world showcase).

My first trip without her in many years was in Feb. 2010, it was very hard at first but, as I sat on some of those rides it brought back some really great memories and I felt like she was sitting right there with me.

The Tiki Birds (original show) always makes me think of my father. Our first visit was in 1975 and the Tiki Birds was the very first attraction that we saw (thanks to the Barker Bird!). My father had no idea what to expect when we entered the theater but as soon as the show began, he was hooked. For years, he would talk about his favorite part when the flowers sang the Hawaiian War Chant

Haunted Mansion and The Great Movie Ride make me think of my Mother. They were her faves. That and Sci Fi Dine In Theater, which isn't a ride, but reminds me of her nonetheless.
