Having stayed there at least 3 times for 10 days or more, my last trip was in Oct of 2007. Toward the last days, I turned to my wife and said: "I can't take this place ever again. NO way we stay here anymore!"

The theming is great and having your own bus versus sharing like the All-Stars do certainly has its charm, but thats about it. There is just entirely too many bottom of the barrel types staying there and the food court is a maddening...at best!

Going to the food court at Pop after 8AM is just insanity. Getting a "preferred room" close to the pool is a COMPLETE waste of money because all you end up doing is listening to kids yelling and screaming into all hours of the night at the pool. And if you are close enough, you can also hear everyone drinking at the pool bar after midnight.

And then after reading one of the WDW guides, I looked at the simple math of 800 rooms at the Wilderness Lodge versus 2800 rooms at Pop. That was enough for me to say I'll just start paying the extra money for nice accomidations, a quieter atmosphere, and waaaaaay less people fighting for the bus.

I will miss my fond memories made at Pop, but I'm graduating and moving on! :p

I'm thinking you missed the title of the thread...

The Quick Service Location at WL (Roaring Forks) is tiny and can be just as insane - if not more; I wouldn't even call it a food court.

Don't pay for a WL Courtyard view then, if you are in the the inside courtyard, some people complain about the pool noise there too!

I've personally been to Pop and WL two times each, and we've never had a problem with either one. I think it all comes down to luck and timing.
