MYW Tickets question

Question regarding MYW Base tickets: If we were to split our one week stay (3 days deluxe resort/4 days off site) can we include a 7 day MYW base ticket in our package when we make the reservation? Or does the length of stay on site (3 days) limit you to a 3 day ticket? Here's the catch, we would add the plus dining for the resort portion and I know that is only good for the number of nights in your stay.

Tickets for a package can be any length - it just has to be a ticket. As you said, the dining plan is per night at a Disney resort.

Like Merf said, you can buy 1-10 day tickets even if you're not staying at their resorts at all. That's why you can also buy the "Never Expires" option - so that you could use 3 days now, and the rest on subsequent trips.

It sounds like you will definately want to make your reservations on the phone, since you're chopping up your food package and your ticket doesn't match exactly to your resort nights. I would call anyway, just because I don't trust the web for ANY reservations. I like to hear a human's voice when it comes to something as major as a vacation - just me, perhaps!

  I do like the new AlaCarte options available but I am soooooo tempted to by 10 day passes when I only need a 5 pass for now!!?!?!?

Couple points I need to find out for myself are:

1. If I buy a 10 tix for a guest coming with me can I use the remaining days for someone else
2. If I buy a 10 tix pass and use just 5 days can I "no expiry" remianing days or do I have to pay for all 10?

I so love having unused tix available so I can do a weekend DVC return trip, basically only have to come up with airfare & dining $$$.

The answers to your questions (AFAIK - feel free to correct me!):
1. No. The tickets are non-transferrable, period. They have to be used by the same guest at all times during their validity - hence the finger scans.

2. Yes, you can apply a "no expiry" to the remaining days, but from what I've been able to gather, the option isn't pro-rated. That is, you'll have to pay the same amount for the no-expiry option after having used five days as if you had added that option in the first plae.

I totally understand why you love having unused tix - it's why I am loving my AP!!!

1. No. That's the point of the biometrics system (finger scanning). If you read another recent thread on this topic, you'll understand more. You have to scan your fingers the first time you use a ticket, and thus, that ticket belongs to YOU forever - non transferable.

2. All 10 - you're paying for the TICKET to never expire, not just certain days. (Edit: unless what Lawyer says is true - my bad)

Ya I did the AP thing last year as well but couldn't commit enough days in the coming 12 months this time. Still might go that route when I get there in December. (The DVC AP price is awesome this year)
