Mysterious map in the Comedy Warehouse

I just got back from a last minute weekend trip to WDW and wanted to see if anyone could tell me some information about something interesting I saw. Inside the Comedy Warehouse on Pleasure Island, way in the back, right outside the bathrooms is a huge map of the Magic Kingdon including Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It looks like it was made sometime in the '70's. The park itself was missing several of the newer attractions including Space Mountain. Even more interesting were the resorts that were pictured. The Contemporary and Polynesian were there. There were also two more generic-looking (? theme resorts) - one where the Grand Floridian is, and one between the Contemporary and TTC. There was also another resort north of the Contemorary on Bay Lake that looked to have some sort of Arabic or Sultan theme - it looked right out of Aladdin.

Does anyone know anything about this map? Are there any recent rumors floating around about new resorts in the Magic Kingdom area?

Thanks guys. . . interesting stuff. I guess I should have looked a little more closely at the Venetian and the Asian before I called them "generic". I bet if they had built the Persian resort on Bay Lake, it might be closed right now - getting re-themed.
