My wife just left for the World

My original title simply said, My wife just left, and that has a whole different meaning. It is 4:30 a.m. as I type this and she has been gone about an hour, and I could not go back to sleep. Her friend, who is always late, was actually here early, to get the trip off on a good note. It is raining like a fool here in Ga. And according to the radar they will be driving in heavy rain for several hours, and that worries me. They are meeting up with four others and all staying at a nice off site condo, with three of them doing the Princess half marathon, and three in the cheer squad. For this year's race my wife will be dressed in a full Cinderella costume I got her for Christmas...yes, you can buy adult size Cinderella costumes...who knew? Her sister is running dressed as Minnie.
Last year, as a surprise I downloaded her official time and run info and with photoshop and publisher made her a lovely, official looking, nicely framed plaque, with her photo on it. She ran as Tink last year.
So anyway, I need something to top the plaque this year. Any suggestions?

How about a trophy with a shoe on top? They are actually pretty cheap if you have a local trophy shop. I just don't know if they have shoe toppers. You could put her name and time on the plaque.

Check you local trophy shop for one with a "glass slipper" maybe a nice silver toned metal. Hope you hold up ok!

Thanks! No we haven't yet. We've eaten at Bubba Gumps and one other downtown location which I fail to remember this morning....brain is not functioning yet! My DH will probably want some shrimp and grits. He loves that dish!

They made it down fine and are now at Coronado Springs at the expo.
She said it is 88 and mostly sunny.
It is 38 and mostly sucky here.

My wife just called and said the crowd was crazy at the runner's expo. She wanted to look at the princess half marathon Dooney bags, but said the line was just too long. Thank you everyone in line. You just saved me several hundred dollars....yeah. They are not that pretty anyway. Did you see the Tinkerbell Dooney bags from the DLR half marathon? She really wants one of those, but can only find them on ebay, selling for crazy prices. Here are the princess bags.

Nice of you to ask...I never sleep well when she is not here. We talked on the phone last night and this morning.
Today is shopping day for her trip...they are headed out for the Orlando Premium Outlets first, then on up International Dr. All the way to the end...outlets galore...Then they are coming back tonight to Dinner at Columbia at Celebration, then wrap up the shopping day at DTD and then back to the room fairly early to get ready for the run early Sunday morning.
I'm just hanging out at the house, trying to not make too big of a mess.

When I ran the Disney Half in 2011, my hubby got me the running shoe charm for my Pandora bracelet it is by far my favorite charm on my bracelet.
