My view on "The Wand."

The wand is part of S.E. now. Its serving its purpose, and I feel it guards it now. Without it, it would feel.. Golfballish.

It's like, forget what park your in, look at the ball and you'll see the huge freaking sign that says Epcot. That sign is a little redundant in my opinion. I'm waiting for them to put a flashing marquee in front of cinderella's castle that says Magic Kingdom.

Sorry I like the ball just the way it was in the first place.

Yes, I thought that the "2000" wand was very appropriate, but this "EPCOT" wand is commercialising what was once a work of art. It's like taking the "Mona Lisa," painting a word balloon next to her mouth and painting two golden arches inside of the word balloon.

That is the worst entry into a park I can imagine!

Sorry but I left a brick on the "Walk" which doesn't interfere with the beauty of the entrance to the "Magic Kingdom" and the bricks cost a heck of a lot more than the tiles. So Tight Wad I'm not!!! That is the ugliest obstruction they have done. NOthing else they have done has stopped the beauty of an entrance like that one does. You can think my opinion is wrong but tight wad, not even close.

Do you not think the big hat spoils the view of the Chinese Theatre. I actaully like the hat. I just wish they had put it at the entrance to the park so you walk under it to get in.

Honestly, I love the hat and the wand! To me it's Disney! That awful blockade of stone is a mortuary. To me there is a huge difference! But again that's just my opinion.

I really don't like the wand up there, I like the light would play of it. Now to me it kind of cheapens it up a little, like a motel sign, they could do so much better then that, with the technology we have now they could do something really cool.

I won't rant again on this topic (a post a while back I let out a rip roarin' rant).

I hate -- no hate is not strong enough a word for it -- that hand and wand and epcot logo that doesn't match any of the other epcot fontstyles.

One of the secrets to good design is to know when to stop. The dome on it’s own with the greenery and fountain in front of it looked stunning. Now the gaudy plastic hand and legions of tombstones ruin a superb image.
