My very first PTR

We will be going to the world April 7-15. Hopefully I'm not doing this too early but here it goes. It will be me, my daughter Marlie who will be turning four a week before we go (this is her bday trip), and Ashley marlie's babysitter. Ashley has been in our lives since Marlie was born. She has been such a blessing to both of us. I am a single mother and I don't have much of a support system when it comes to family. Ashley has helped me so much. So I decided to take her on this trip because we all really need a vacation. lol

This will be Ashley and Marlie's first trip, I've been in the past but never as an adult. Here's Marlie! She's a character! haha.

We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. In a royal Room with a river view. I tried to avoid this resort because we are from New Orleans but I couldn't say no to the princess rooms.
So far I've done our online checkin and I have done our ADR's but I haven't done our park itinerary yet. I have a travel agent helping me with that.

Our ADR's:

As you can see we are breakfast people. We are super excited about CTR and I got her a snow white costume to wear. It's so cute!

Anyways we are so excited! 47 more days!

If anyone has any suggestions or anything thing let me know!

It does take almost the whole trip to get all that glitter out. A few trips ago, my fiancee and I were getting a Princess story book for my neice (we went before our CRT breakfast and we had all the princesses sign the book for her... aren't I the greatest uncle ever?) at the store where BBB is in MK. I made some comment about how the dressees at BBB would be too big on my fiancee (she's 4'10"). One of the CMs in the store heard me and attacked me with the pixie dust wand. No matter how many times we went in the pool or water slides at TL or showers I took, I was still leaving a trail of pixie dust behind me. I have very short hair and it just wouldn't go away. In the end, it is just glitter (and a good memory).

Having a lot of breakfast ADRs is not such a bad idea, IMO, for a first trip. Your park schedule is pretty much dictated by your ADR's, so that's half the battle, plus you don't have to worry about being somewhere in the late afternoon or evening incase you decide to spend the evening hanging out at POR or spending some time at DTD (the boat ride from POR to DTD is really nice and relaxing and nothing makes that boatride better than knowing you are going to head over to Ghirardelli's when you get off). If you plan on being out in the evening, make sure to try to plan in a mid-day break to re-charge a little. Take a nap, hang out by the pool, take showers, etc. Sometimes it's hard to break away from the parks for a couple of hours, but in the end you'll be much better off.

Also, there are really nice horse and carriage rides available at POR. I think they run about $40 for the ride (NOT per person). I know it cost me about $35 for the ride a couple of years ago. It's a really nice way to end a day.

Sounds like a fun time!!! We are going shortly after you 4/22 - 4/25 and staying at the same place. I hope you have a magical time! And definitely consider BBB especially since you already have a Snow White costume. I am bring both Cinderella and Bella for DD and she'll be wearing one of her dresses when we go to BBB.

Oooooh, I am excited to read this. I think you'll love the Princess Rooms, I think that POFQ is more like what people think New Orleans is...Mardi Gras masks, etc. POR is just pretty and sprawling and relaxing, haha.

Can't wait to read more as you keep planning!

HAHA..... It's really just what people THINK it is. New Orleans is completely different when you live and work there.

I would associate your park itinerary with the relevance location to your ADR. Ohana and chef mickeys is on the monorail so go to MK or Epcot. Crystal palace, Teppan Edo and Tusker house are in a park so go to those parks those days.

Your daughter is such a cutie!!! :) Love that dress too! As for BBB and the glitter, we are usually light on glitter within 24 hrs of princessification. I usually travel with fine grade cake glitter in a white rainbow color scheme (plus a strong hairspray) just in case either of my girls would like a fresh layer of pixie dust at any point in our trip. :D
