My very first pin code!

And it's driving me CRAZY!!

I just got home from work, ready for a nice relaxing evening and pulled up my email. I saw one from Disney Destinations with a subject about free dining... Okay, I figure, I have that for October.

But OH NO, it's a pin code for free dining in November or December! The reason this decision is so difficult is because we wanted to go in October in the first place because one of my favorite bands is playing the Eat to the Beat concert, and they never play around here anymore. I've also never been for Halloween.

But I have always, always wanted to go to WDW during the holidays. I keep saying "My next trip will be at Christmas" but a deal always comes up making me go in February. I don't know which I want to see more.

So I need some people who have been during both times of year to convince me one way or the other!

This why I love this board. I can come here with frantic questions

*edit - I just watched a video of the Osborne lights and I think I'm leaning towards December now. Any October lovers care to tip the scales back?

I have been in Sept and Dec. I'd say you might want to try December once. The Christmas decorations are neat. We also had free dining in Dec last year, and used it to do the Candlelight Processional package. The processional is a nice experience and the package is definitely the way to go if you can get it as a single meal credit.

HOWEVER, if we go again, I'd likely choose Sept. The crowds were a bit less (though Dec was not TERRIBLE), and I'd personally rather be a bit warm (and play in some water) than be too cold (it DID get cold while we were there).

You can't miss either way, though. That's why I'd say to give Dec a shot. If you like Christmas in general, you should probably give WDW at least one shot at Christmas time--and free dining is a great incentive to try it.

Think for yourselfer
Since you have not been during either time, I say christmas. Disney is magic during the christmas season. It is amazing. I have been 3 times during the holidays and I love it, and I am sure you will as well. Everyone does!

I would love to go for halloween as well though, Hallowishes is supposed to be amazing, and I am a halloween nut, so I am really curious about what the world is like around then. But I digress, go for XMAS, you will not regret it.
