50s PT is the only place my wife can get gluten free fried chicken, so its a must do for us. Just ate there about a week ago and had some good food and entertainment. Enjoy yourself. Looking forward to our next lunch there this summer.
Is all of the fried chicken gluten free, or do they make special gluten free batches? I have to say if it all is, it didn't suffer for it at all. It's some of the best fried chicken I've ever had :)

Thank you- and I hope you'll be doing a trip report from your summer vacation. I've enjoyed your previous ones, and living vicariously through you and your beautiful family :)

You have to order the gluten free chicken separate. The fried chicken they serve is not gluten free. The GF chicken is still very good. Takes about 40 minutes to prepare, so we usually stop in about 30 minutes before our ADR to talk to the chef so my wife doesnt have to wait after we order.

Thanks for following the reports. I have fun doing them

Haha, great minds think alike ;) Hopefully you'll have a better experience there than you did last time. I'm sure your DD will have a great time :)
Last month, we were able just to walk straight up pretty much to Jake- literally about a 2 minute wait. The lines for Sofia were long though & with Doc only being at H&V, it kind of makes the decision for you, doesn't it?! It takes away the stress if you know you're guaranteed to meet them at the meal. They've found a good way to make sure H&V will be filled with those new characters, I think ;)

Oh definitely! Especially with Doc only appearing there. She's so popular, it will be a huge draw. That's good to know about the Jake line! If there's short lines, I'll still walk up to the characters with her. The backdrops there are nicer than people eating food in the background haha. But the restaurant does take away the stress of wondering if we'll be able to meet her favorite characters. I'm also going to try to do the Disney Jr. Dance Party during EEMH's. It starts at 8:30 though, and that's getting late for DD who usually goes to bed at 9. We can go for a little bit at least!

She may surprise you! Our DS's bedtime at home was 7.30 but often, he fell asleep in the stroller during the day in the parks, and could keep going a little bit longer in the evening for when we did Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage, for example :)

Ah yes, I've heard good things about Yak and Yeti- and I do love Asian food, too!

I did 1900 Park Fare with my DH almost 10 years ago (wow, now I feel old!), and it would be fun to take our DS in the future I think :)

I really need to stop reading how awesome the restaurants are at WDW....now I REALLY want to go to 'Ohana for dinner! But I don't know what I could cut. I need to hang onto the character meals really, for our DS. It's too difficult!!!

I know this won't help, but we LOVE Ohanas dinner! It is our "must eat at" place now for every trip! I know what you are saying though....I think I have all our restaurants picked out for our October trip and the more I read about this restaurant and that restaurant the more I think about changing things up...the only thing I won't change is Ohanas dinner!

We've had lunch twice at Y&Y. Delicious both times. My favorite meal last trip.

You guys are very persuasive ;)
We're on the DDP so we'd be over our table service credits if we do 'Ohana for dinner too. However, I think it might be worthwhile using the credit on that, and paying OOP for lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In as it's one of the cheaper TS places anyway. Hmm...

Here is my ADR list...I hope you don't mind.
This is only our second trip so there are so many places we have never been. The only ones on this list that we have done is Ohanas for dinner and Tusker House for Breakfast. All the others will be new to us. If you see one that is a horrible choice feel free to tell me.

Ohanas for dinner
Sci Fi for late lunch early dinner
Rain Forest in DTD...this wouldn't be my choice, but it is my DS' choice for his Birthday dinner.
Tusker House Breakfast
Back to Ohanas again to try their breakfast...because I love Stitch!
1900 Park Fare dinner...can hardly wait to meet the Steps!
Crystal Palace for breakfast.
We also hope to do QS at Yak & Yeti and BOG

Do I have any HORRIBLE ones picked out? Is there such a thing as HORRIBLE any where at Disney? LOL

Looks good to me! :D
I'd say that the food at Sci-Fi isn't ground breaking, but it's fine and the atmosphere and experience more than makes up for it.
Enjoy! :)

Ok, ok, I'll admit....we're not doing this trip until November. But if I'm honest, we started planning our next set of ADRs before we even left WDW  We'll be travelling with our 3 year old son, hence the character meal-heavy list. Some of the places are old favourites, and others we'll be trying for the first time. We have the free DDP again, so will be having one TS meal a day. Any feedback would be much appreciated :)

Arrive Tues :D

Wed- Crystal Palace breakfast

Thurs- Garden Grill dinner

Fri- Hollywood & Vile breakfast (it was the only meal that DH and I disliked on the whole trip, but now they've added Doc McStuffins & Sofia, we are probably going to have to brave it again :angelic:), 50s Prime Time Dinner.

Sat- Tusker House lunch

Sun- Chef Mickey's breakfast

Mon- none (shopping day for me!).

Tues- Teppan Edo lunch

Wed- 'Ohana breakfast

Thurs- Sci-Fi Dine In lunch, Via Napoli dinner.

Fri- home :(

Thoughts please? :)
Yep. Those are good places to eat.

Just bumping up this thread as I'm less than 60 days from making the ADRs & I'm doing my usual second guessing/changing my mind thing!

We're definitely going to move things about and get 'Ohana in there. Can't wait for that! Feeling unsure about Via Napoli now though. That day will be our wedding anniversary so want to have dinner somewhere 'nice' but also toddler friendly! Our boy eats most things but on the kids menu at Via Napoli, the options are pizza or spaghetti & meatballs and he eats neither. Wondering if we should change our mind & choose somewhere else
